Pros: pool, great service
Cons: food was just ok sometimes,

I just had my wedding November 19, 2012.  I really wanted to leave a review so here goes.  Think its going be a long one. We had 14 guests, 2 of which who didn't stay at the resort.

Resort-  Beautiful spot, lots of lush greenery.  The pool is awesome, we spent more time in the family? pool (the one with the island in it) because we usually had kids with us, and it was near impossible to get a chair near the pool with the swim up bar, very little seating, and lots of seat savers.  oh well, no loss, the other pool is just as nice and waitress would bring you drinks.  Service is beyond excellent at this place, Poolside and everywhere else.

I love the size of this resort.  Its small enough that if you sat by the pool that you would see anyone from your group if they passed by and it was not difficult just meeting up.

Restaurants- Seem to be a hit or miss with the food, but what i really loved is not having to make a reservation.  This is a feature I will be looking for at any other all-inclusive I go to.  I loved the mexican restaurant, and the tenderloin I had at seaside grill was so tender.  I'm not a real picky eater, so I can say I never left the restaurants hungry, but it wasn't always the best. Good service, and quick, other then the French, perhaps they forgot us, but it took a really long time for the Entree, so long we skipped dessert.  Buffet, breakfast, lunch, dinner was good, a little repetative but I think that's all can be expected after a week.

Beach-  I heard all about the seaweed, and I didnt care, it is a ocean afterall.  What I wasnt prepared for was the bits of garbage.  Our first walk on the beach and first thing I spot is a plastic bag.  That being said, something changed 3 days in, and there wasnt any more garbage washing up on the beach so I had no idea what was up with that.  White sand, warm water, and not big waves.  And bonus is within the swimming perimeter is a bell? or something sunken and there is little tropical fish who hang out there, just grab some free snorkel gear from the water sports booth and take a look.

Room- is pretty, some wear and tear.  Air conditioning worked just fine, but be prepared, its damp, not much to be done for that, its a tropical climate.  No problems with anything in our room, view over looked the pool, which at first I wasn't sure about, but came to like that I could people watch. Maid did such a great job tiding up, and turn down service was a nice touch.  We got champagne and fruit bowl to the room a couple days in, apparently when they came the first time we had the do not disturb sign up. oops.  My inlaws had been given two rooms, no problems on the inside, but the view was horrible.  overlooking a roof of the laundry, very non tropical.  Just went to talk to front desk, and no problem, they couldn't change it that night but the next day they were shown a few rooms and switched.  No problem.

Salon - hair and makeup for my mom, sister, and myself at the salon.  I think they did a real good job, my lady took good direction, and the whole thing turned out amazing I couldnt have been happier.  After that part was done I was much more relaxed.  At first they wanted to book my appt at 1pm for my 4pm wedding, I switched it to 12noon and very happy I did, because I already felt rushed, I could only imagine what it would have been like with one less hour.  And everything lasted through all the sweat and dancing

Ceremony-  My wedding coordinator was Vanessa, she has a very calm demeanour and is super helpful. two days before the wedding, I saw another reception on the island and they had a DJ, I decided we needed a DJ, asked Vanessa, and it was done.  Perfect.  Ceremony was at the Wedding Gazebo near the lobby, it was gorgeous but sooo hot.  I had sweat just beading down me, hard to even pay attention to ceremony to be honest.  Maybe have a tissue handy.  I had pomanders on my aisle, if I had my time back I probably wouldn't have bothered with them, I actually wanted them hanging on the ends of the chairs, but they were on these metal hook things. The scenery is so beautiful I dont think we actually needed them, but they did double as centerpeices for the reception.  The draping had been up for a few days, we did not pay for this, but it was left up for our wedding.

Photography-  We used tropical studios and went with the Silver package?
($800) so he went to the rooms while we were getting ready, covered reception, and photo session afterwards.  Pictures for the most part were good, there were def a few duds, mostly with the in the room session because I make weird faces, so pretending he wasn't there maybe wasn't the best thing for myself haha it really wasn't that difficult to pick out 70 pics, I mean how many pictures of me and the hubby do I really need? It was a good amount.  and I didnt realize that I get all 70 printed out  :) ya

Reception-  We had reception on the pool island, it was lovely.  I brought down paper lanterns and LED lights, they weren't super bright but it as fine. We had the Carribean Trio and a DJ.  Loved the trio, it was a nice touch for ambience while we ate.  The food was really good, and people said it was the best food they had on the resort.  I totally flaked and didnt even take pics of the set up, but i was a huge amount of food, I didnt have a whole lot because my dress corset did not allow haha.  DJ was good, but I don't remember his name because Vanessa had just set it up the day before.  He was goodf, no problems, half way through he took out balloons and everyone had a good time with those.  Bartenders kept the party going, making up shots and bringing them to the dance floor.  Vanessa stayed through the whole thing.  Cake was delicious, thank god my cousin thought enough to take a pic otherwise I wouldn't have had any.  Party ended at 930.  We were going to go on over the desires disco, but kind of a bummer is they dont start music/dacning until 11 so.. we all kind of went out separate ways after a bit, which worked out for me because I was beat.

Breakfast in bed the next morning, perhaps I should have picked a different morning because I was tad bit quesey from the drinks the night before so wasn't as hungry as every other morning.

So all in all, a great vacation and a great wedding. Couldn't have asked for better and wouldn't have chose anywhere else

Thanks for the great review! Are your chair sashes a coral colour? (a little hard to tell in the picture ) The set up looks beautiful!! Do you mind if I ask how much you paid for the trio? We want to use them for the ceremony only..so for 1 hour..thanks!

Great and detailed review. I want to know did you hire a separate photographer by the name of tropical studios or is that the name of the company they use b/c aren't photos included in the Silver package? I thought it was only like 36pics or something like that included in the silver package. so is the $800 for the outside photographer?

No it wasnt an outside photographer, it was Tropical Studio I did the free package and just added a photo package, its tricky with the included photography with the wedding packages, its only of the ceremony? or something like that, I would write Tropical Studio and ask them to explain, sorry didnt respond earlier
