Perfect Wedding!!! Let me start by saying we couldn't be happier that we found this website that gave us so much information needed to make the decision to have our destination wedding at The Royal Playa del Carmen!

We knew we would be travel ling with a large group of family and friends so we wanted to choose a location that would have something to offer everyone. This resort really has it all.. the service is great, they greet you with their hand over their heart which is such a sincere gesture:) Our vacation started as soon as we landed, our bus trip to the hotel was so much fun! Everything went smoothly when we arrived at the hotel, check in was a breeze and all our rooms were ready!

As the bride and groom we were assigned a Romance Concierge, her name was Anna and she was fantastic. We told her we had upgraded to the ocean front rooms but we wanted to upgrade to the presidential suite for 4 nights starting the night before our wedding. She made the arrangements on the spot and was so great to work with.

When we arrived at our ocean front room #520 it was perfect! We quickly got changed and went to meet our guests who have gathered by the smaller pool. The resort is the perfect size, not too big and not too small. When they say it's close to 5th avenue their not kidding... it's literally right beside the hotel and it has everything you could want as far as shopping, bars, restaurants, entertainment etc. We went there often and had so much fun!

Back to the resort, the food was great, really good selection. I'm a picky eater and I found food I liked in every restaurant or buffet. The drinks are all top shelf... the best of the best. If they don't have it, they will try to get it for you! The pools are beautiful all three of them! The beach was great, the sand is soft and clean. The water is clearer further away from the pier.

Our wedding co-coordinator was great, very professional. Just trust them as they take care of everything... event the things you don't think of. There was no need to stress.

I can't begin to express how beautiful our wedding was.. we had a 4pm ceremony at the gazebo, followed by cocktail hour in the gazebo gardens and reception on the beach right in front of the gazebo. It was amazing, we had the light up dance floor, DJ Dooremix and our photographers were Del Sol. They all made our day perfect. We had a group of 30 ppl and they all said it was the best wedding they every been to!

The presidential suite was stunning, great if you plan to host a party, two levels pool, bar and huge terrace, living room, dining room and large kitchen plus a huge bedroom with jacuzzi etc.
