Pros: Gazebo, Food, Service, Rooms
Cons: Pools are cold, Beaches

We had some reservations considering some of the reviews. Please note that my background is that I have been to the Dominican, Mexico and Jamaica before and benchmarked my stay vs. the other places and have been to my brothers wedding in Jamaica.

Food: The Al-a-cartes (Bhogali for Non-veg was great, veg was weak for dinner, Creole and the steakhouse were great) and it was a very good buffet when compared to other resorts. ( I dont have feedback on the other restaurants as I didnt eat there). Room: The Rooms were incredible. Each room had either a garden or an oceanview. Our oceanview was spectacular and they all had a jacuzzi.

Wedding Coordinator: We would like to give a special shout out to Lorraine Yap who delivered the following for us: Extended check out for the priest who had a 2 day stay, providing us with a gazebo on top of a cliff facing the ocean (sad that no pics on their website articulated this :S) and ensuring that our lunch (Indian appetizers were pretty good), and reception was great as well. We were able to party till 2 AM (I had requested this in advance and most resorts didnt offer this). She was able to accomodate some last minute reqeusts - Mango leaves and banana leaves for the priest. Additionally, the carts picked our party up on time to the wedding.

Resort in general: Blown away by service as long as you tip a buck here or there. Additionally, our shower had broken. It was fixed later in the evening. We didnt even ask for help. Only one downside was that one of our guests left their cell phone on the dresser and it was stolen. However, the resort was understsanding and gave them 2 complimentary massages (worth $100 in value) so this was mitigated with a fair compromise.

Beaches: Probably the weakest feedback here. 2 are rocky the the sunset cove is good and has a great view of the cliff and a mountain. The water was warm for most days.

Pools: Blue Lagoon Pool is awesome but its cold. All the pools are cold. I would recommend that they make it warmer

Room Tip: Ask for ocean view. Villa 34 - next to beach, and gazebo Villa 11-14 - Next to Blue Lagoon (where our reception was :)). No elevators and a higher floor reduces the # of bugs. For wedding pics, go to Jamie Dimitry's facebook site (look for Jas and Gautam wedding pics - its a public facebook site)
