Planning a destination wedding from over 2,000 miles away, for the off season during the hottest time of the year is a challenging thing to do. There are so many things to worry about but the one thing I didn't have to worry about was our photography.

After some research we discovered La Luna photography - the sister company to the photographic powerhouse Del Sol and we couldn't have been any happier with our discovery. After looking at just about every single slide show from both of these companies it is extremely obvious that they are a team of outstanding photographers.

Everything about their service from top to bottom was excellent - Starting with Melissa Mercado who is the Studio Manager. Amazingly communicating with her was extremely easy - she answered all of my questions, kept me informed as the days grew closer. She was so quick to respond that it was hard to believe she was working out of their office in Cancun while I am out here on the US west coast.

On our wedding day we got both Jonathan and Melissa who were our dynamic duo and I have to say that I have never seen two people work so hard. It was hot and humid and the mosquitos were out for blood but that didn't slow them down one bit.  Their professionalism and spirit was amazing. It is people like Jonathan and Melissa who define what it means to be professionals. They went to amazing distances to get photos and worked so well with our friends and family.

Our pictures came out awesome! The light and color is really well done and the slideshow attached to my review only covers a small amount of them… there are SO MANY MORE pictures that aren't seen here and all of them are outstanding.

I would highly recommend La Luna to anyone getting married in the Cancun area! To Jonathan and Melissa - Thank you so much! we will never forget what you did for us! We look forward to booking you guys again when we renew our vows :)

Hints/Tips: If there are 2 things that I would recommend to any other couples whether you use La Luna or any other photography vendor is that you scope out your resort for places that you would like to have your photos taken. Jonathan allowed us to go anywhere we wanted in our resort to take photos which was fantastic! We got a lot of couples photos.. far more than expected. My other tip which goes along with the 1st tip is - if you have the opportunity practice posing together as a couple and try and learn your strengths and weaknesses. Since your photographer doesn't know you as well and hasn't worked with you before they can only guide you so much. All of our photos came out excellent in terms of quality but as they say "you are your own worse critic" - looking at our couples photos and being our own worst critic's there are some where one of us look better than the other but that just comes naturally and that has nothing to do with the photographer. Fortunately they took so many that many of them came out good.
