  1. Good afternoon all! My partner and I are due to marry at the Grand Riviera Princess on the 2nd June this year, flying out from England on the 24th May. We had booked via Thomson travel agents and been emailing back and forth with Araceli our WC, and also Pam who has been sorting the legal documentation in Mexico. When we signed our contract here in the UK we were originally told by Thomson that we needed to get our birth certificates and other documentation translated into Spanish and legalised before we travel to Mexico. We have asked those in Mexico several times to confirm this, and each time have said that all we need is our passports, travel cards (completed on the plane) and to sign the forms they are sending us. Is this right??? Even Thomson's wedding legal team in the UK were surprised at this as were our local register office. We have even been told that we don't need a certificate of no impediment. So, what has been the experience of those who have already married at Grand Riviera Princess? Particularly those traveling from the UK. Everyone has settled telling us to do as the Mexicans say, as they know best. But I cant help but feel a little nervous! Last thing I want is to find out that we need to 'jump through a load more hoops' at the last minute! It all takes time to sort in the UK and costs in excess of £700 so be great if we don't need to get these items! Advice gratefully appreciated! Kind regards Ian & Amanda
