  1. I'm Dominican and as far as I'm concerned, you do not need any documents in order to have a symbolic wedding. You do need documents to have a legal wedding. I’m not sure if you are planning to get legally wedding in the Dominican Republic but my suggestion would be to get legally married wherever you live so that you don’t get any surprises.
  2. Hi Clarissa, I think that you're right on track. Usually brides plan their wedding like a year or a year and a half in advanced. Take into consideration that if you want to book a venue you might want to do it now. Sometimes is hard to book a venue less than a year in advanced.
  3. You are not the only one. I'm also getting married on 2016 and I am already looking at wedding venues, cake, decoration, and everything else. My wedding is going to be in the Caribbean so it gives the guest a good 2 years to plan, save money, get their passports, and purchase their tickets.
