That's a perfect way of thinking about it. Most of my family goes on individual family vaca yearly so the important ones won't have a problem with it...the rest can just come to a BBQ we can have when we get back lol

I plan on having dinner but also a dj with dancing at now jade in one of their reception areas

One of the most stressful factors of picking a place was trying to figure out what my guests would like....I asked my immediate family's opinion on my top 2 and they agreed with now jade bc the rooms were twice as big even tho it was a bit more. Ultimately as the bride you have to love it so you get the final say. I'm sure some people will comment to me on the price when they go to book

I like the idea of it being equal but at this point know it's not going to happen so i think it will be ok in the end

Love this thread! So many good ideas. I am the type that will coupon and shop sales all the time but when it comes to wedding I forget all that lol

We are getting married before Mexico but will not have my name changed at that point. Our 2 kids ( 1 mine 1 ours) have my last name and we discussed that I will not change my name until we can have theirs done as well so passports won't be a issue as they are in our legal names

I'm not sure but my sil had a klein afield dress and it was about 3000 and another 750 in alterations but she has an odd shape. Super skinny on top but needed like 3 sizes bigger on the bottom so hers may be an exception to the rule. I did David's bridal for 600 dress that I fell in love with

I have 4 but there will be 5-6 groomsmen....I don't have think any of my friends are making the trip so it's all family

Etsy had some pretty ones but seemed overpriced. I feel like I have a year to do it so I could manage to do it myself if I found realistic flowers. I used to make flowery headbands for my daughter n they came out great but I wasn't so worried about the realistic image then so while they looked cute it wasn't what I want for a bouquey

I was worried to book the terrace cuz I am assuming only 35 may go but there's always a chance other invited guests may be able to afford it after all and I don't want to have to worry about changing everything lol. Plus we are looking at early may so it will be hot. Do you think 5pm ceremony is best? Sunset supposed to be 715 and everyone talked me out of 6pm afraid we would miss the sunset photos

I am doing beach ceremony and bamboo room reception. I will try and negotiate the cocktail hour for maybe the extended hour reception but know everything is kind of up in the air with exchanges. If I can't exchange I will just do cocktail hour with no extras over 25 bc we are expecting approx 35 and the wedding party will be doing pics. What is the best place for cocktail hour if receptions on the beach? I have spent the past 4 days reading most of the posts on here but everything's sorta a blur now. Last night I was babbling nonsense in my sleep bc I think I read the last 150 posts after taking a Benadryl to force myself to sleep lol
