I created a weak-a$$ registry to get free gifts from the company. I have not listed it anywhere but found out that it is searchable by our names. I feel horrible asking for gifts because I'm having a DW. When asked I explain that we prefer no gifts or showers. Once the invitation go out, I'll beef up the wedsite to reinforce no gifts are expected.

How about my to do list has a list! And now, I will incorporate this list as well!
Thanks!

My legal name belongs to my XH! It is a power name that has served me well for the last 30 years HOWEVER; I don't think my betrothed is aware of that. It just shows you how much attention men pay to things of importunate!!! So, I have already had to order business cards with my new name and have decided to use my first, middle, maiden and new name. My signature will be first name, middle and maiden initials, and new last name! WHEW!!!

We're getting married by some stranger in Vegas! I've read positive Yelp reviews about him so that is reassuring. It would be nice to have someone familiar marry us, but looking at our loved ones witnessing our vows is most important!

My man is the worst gift giver! Engagement ring included! So, this is one thing we will not be doing. I am down for a cute little note to be read prior to the ceremony. That sounds very touching, before make-up of course!

Having no children of my own it's funny that I can't imagine my DW without the children in my life part of the celebration. I am Step-monster to a 19yoF, aunt, great aunt and favorite person in the world to others! Plus, I have dear friends who would not be able to attend if there were no kids. Sooooo, I have created an activity book for them, will find some 'special job' for them during the weekend and have a special I Spy game for the reception. I'm thinking of some activity to keep them occupied while in the air. Bubble Yum for sure!

You are so smart to go with no bridal party. I wish I had the foresight to be so smart. I have since lost three BMs, got one back, added two nieces who begged to be in the WP, got bullied into a ring bearer...it's just a hot mess! So, enjoy your piece of mind that comes with the great decision you've made!

@@calgarybride2015 We're hold up at the Stratosphere! The welcome reception in a suite overlooking the valley and strip, awesome chapel, champagne buffet, after party at the lounge and NFL Week 15 game watch at the sports bar! I put together an awesome weekend, well within budget...I think! LOL!

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is ask a difficult question. Maybe when you see him you can have a check list and be talking out loud about checking things off...get to confirm wedding party...and Viola...you can say, hey, are you in or out. It's not going to be easy, no matter how you do it. Good luck!

After all is said and done you want to be happy on your day! The fact that you have an AHR planned speaks volumes to how you feel about those that can't make it (for whatever reason, don't let them guilt you). This is the time to be most happy and having bubble guts cause fam bam is stressing you! Always look here for support, especially when you make an unpopular decision!

I've adjusted my budget at least 3 times since I started planning. Once I know how many guests are coming I will be in a better position to know how much I'll spend on OOT bags, programs, favors, etc. I'm honest;y hoping this is where I will see a savings. A bride can dream...can't she!
