I have been talking with Maria by email for the last few days- and she has responded to my emails almost immediately! I am a bit confused and going to clarify in the next email I send about what her name is! The email that shows up says its from Maria but then the name at the bottom in the signature line is Andrea? Regardless whoever is answering my questions is doing so promptly and they are very friendly! We have 33 people booked right now with the possibility of a few more.. so we have decided to go with the palapa with the BBQ menu. I haven't decided what I am going to do for cocktail hour. At first I thought it seemed silly to pay for cocktails at an all inclusive resort but since the wedding area is so far away from the actual resort will probably do a cocktail hour. Hayley- are all your guests going for 2 weeks? I wouldn't be able to get that much time off work so we go on the 7 for a week. I don't think any of our guests have chosen to stay longer.

I am thinking about upgrading from the free package too- I am like you there is not a lot of things that I really feel that we need. Now that the deposits are due and know how many people are coming I am feeling excited and ready to really start planning! Hayley- do you know how many guests you are going to have? What day do you get there?

Hi! I feel like we are in the same boat! I am also a teacher and was looking for spring break prices- and was so disappointed when everything was way to expensive! We ended up choosing Grand Sirenis and actually chose a different week to go (now going second week of December). I have been reading some bad reviews and am a little nervous but there is a Grand Sirenis group and most have wonderful things to say. I have also searched for pictures and the wedding pictures all look amazing! I have some emails of packages that I can send you if you give me your email address. They offer many different packages for every price range. I am not sure how many people we are going to have but am thinking around 20.

Congratulations June! Sounds like you had a fantastic time. I was looking at the beach BBQ as well- can you describe it to me? Is it right on the beach where the ceremony was? Can't wait to see some pictures! Lindsay

Dec 11- Grand Sirenis How is everyone's planning going? I have just started to get some plans in motion- picked out my dress this week and going on the weekend to get the girls dresses. My daughter (9) will stand up for me and my stepdaughters (14 and 17) will stand up with their dad. We are not sure how many guests we will have but thinking somewhere around 30. Looking forward to getting to know some other December brides better!

Hi! I am new to the boards- thought it was time to start doing some planning and I came across this site! I am getting married on Dec 11 (one day after Hailey!- that was our other choice of days We dont really know much about our wedding plans yet- I found a dress this week! We are expecting somewhere between 20-35 people. Our three daughters will serve as our bridal party. (9, 14 and 17) looking ofrward to runnign ideas off you ladies who have laready been there for your wedding and those who are in the planning stages as well!
