    Cakes

From the album: Bride's Dress Rehearsal

We were able to taste cakes at the Brides Dress Rehearsal. Our favorite was the chocolate/chocolate and white cake with vanilla frosting. The strawberry cake was white cake with strawberry jam. It was good too.

Side shot of a wedding. It rained!!! But they carried umbrellas and carried on.
  8. From the album: Bride's Dress Rehearsal

This is the larger beach gazebo. A little more secluded because of the area.
  9. From the album: Bride's Dress Rehearsal

This is the smaller beach gazebo for smaller weddings. This gazebo is set up right in the middle of the beach where people are laying out.

  11. @@cocosho Great info! I leave Thursday for the Brides Dress Rehearsal. Cannot wait!
  12. @@talicea7812 that is such a good idea! I am going to look into it for sure!!!
  13. @@talicea7812 how cool! I wasn't planning to do boudoir... Might have to reconsider!
  14. @@talicea7812 I love your new profile pic! Would love to see more pics from your wedding!
  15. @@raqpena Yep! Lynda sent me an excel spreadsheet to fill out and send back to her. It includes Introductions for the Bridal Party, how you wish to be announced, first dances, cake cutting song, bouquet toss song, the people giving toasts, dinner music and reception music. Pretty thorough. It will hard to come up with all the songs!
  16. @@raqpena I am planning on using DJ All Music as well. My family loves to dance so I knew I had to go with a DJ!
  17. @@atyson03 I did not have a good first go around with destinationweddings. Long story short we had to be reassigned a new TA because the other one messed up everything you could possibly mess up. I'm very happy with my new TA though.
  18. @@talicea7812 I would love to see pictures of your flowers if you have any!!!
  19. @@MandM2014 I am bringing my own photographer. My cousin does photography and she is excellent. We are paying for her flight, hotel and giving her a little extra too. But I am planning on booking a videographer. I hope to have some time with the videographers when we are there
  20. @@talicea7812 How did it work out with your flowers? Were you happy going with an outside vendor?
  21. Has anyone hired a videographer through Azul? Do you have a suggestion on length of time to hire the videographer? I ran this question past my wedding planner at Azul and she said this: For the Videographer…I’m thinking a 3 hour package? I want them to take some of me getting ready, the ceremony and the reception. Is this enough time in your opinion? Or too much? I don’t think it will be too much if you want everything mentioned above. If you want to capture the reception though, you may need to pay a waiting fee to break up the time since the video hours must be continuous. For example, if you begin video at 2:30pm to capture getting ready – it will be finished by 5:30pm, before your reception starts. The waiting fee is $50usd per each hour (or less). This would be paid directly onsite, in cash to the videographer.
  22. @@kmk2016 I love that your sons are walking you down the aisle -- super cute!! What songs are you using? I have been struggling trying to decide. I want something beachy but beautiful.
  23. @@kmk2016 I heard the food is spectacular! My travel agent said to bring a pair of stretchy pants bc the food is exceptional! I am going to the Bride's Dress Rehearsal May 15-18. I never thought of timing the music for the processional... such a good idea. I was wondering how many songs we should have. I read on this blog before that people had a song for the sand ceremony, the moms walking down the aisle, the bridesmaids, the processional and everything - total 6 songs. @@LaurenR We are having our cocktail hour at the Papala Yoga. This was recommended to us by our onsite wedding coordinator Lynda (who has been awesome!). She said that when you have guests come to a destination wedding, they love the beachy feel. Our Welcome Party is at Spoon the day before the wedding, the Ceremony is on the Beach, and our Cocktail Hour is at the Papala Yoga.
