  1. I can not believe my wedding is only 19 days away. And I am such a last minute person, the next 2 weeks are going to be CRAZY!! I pretty much have everthing planned and done just a couple things left. I too am kind of worried about getting things down there, but with Southwest you get 2 checked bags for free and then you can still bring a carry on. So thank God my mom, dad and sister are flying down with me, so they are carrying the things that can break in a carry on. I am basically taking EVERYTHING down there with me. If I could get fresh flowers down there I would. LOL. My color scheme is burlap and lace, with yellow as my accent color. For the ceremony, we are doing burlap and lace sashes over the chairs that come with the divine package, and then burlap and lace around all four of the post for the gazebo. Andd we are going to have fresh yellow flowers on the 2 posts that face the guests. And then fresh yellow flow petals that line the plain runner. We are bringing raffia fans for each guest and our programs will be on the fans. We even have a sand ceremony and the color of the sand is yellow and biscotti. My cocktail hr we are just making burlap and lace to tie around the foot of the high boys. My reception, I have gone all out and I hope that everything will look great! We have a burlap and lace table runner (we pnly have 26 guests plus my fiance and I) so we are doing one long rectangular table. then we have white ceremic lattice lanterns with candles inside, and like 40 votive candles to line the table. We have small round vases that wil hold yellow roses and tall round vases that will hold floating candles. Our reception is on the terrace, so with the dark setting and all of the candles it will be beautiful. We have a ton of other really cute personal touches, like heart shaped burlap name place cards, and for the sign in book we are doing heart shapes cards, that will go into envelopes that they can write messages on. And it will all be placed in a burlap vintage photo album. It is fun planning a wedding. And I can't wait to share all of my pictures when i get back.
  2. @@kosrae89. Thank you soooo much for all the information and wonderful pictures. Your post really helped to clear up a lot of anxiety that I had with my upcoming wedding. I can not believe that it is just about 6 weeks away. Thanks for the pictures, now I have a better understanding of a few things (like the table that comes with the ceremony, the door on the carnival terrace, etc...) My wedding is on the beach, so I will have the other set up but it was good to see. I hope I get enough daylight to do pictures like you did, my wedding starts at 5. Quick question, did you have the pastor or did you get the wedding site to give you the officiant that is free with the divine package? Trying to save money, we are doing our own vows, but will be having a sand ceremony and that is the only reason that I wanted the pastor really. For the cocktail hour, what were the cold hors d'oeuvres did you have? Did you make any name cards for the food? were they passed? or were they just on a table? For the carnival terrace, did you also cover the windows on the side? My mom and I are DIYers, and the whole wedding is litle projects, so we were thinking about making our own curtains, cuz we were not sure if we wanted the lights, did they give you a price with the lights and then without? Was there enough space to dance? I only have 30 guests, so very small. I wouldnt mind having the longer version of your post as well, jsdtaylor910@@gmail.com THANKS AGAIN, I am getting more and more excited with every new post.
  3. I too am only 2 months away from my wedding, and I think I am just beginning to freak out!! My wedding is on the beach and my reception is at carnival terrace since I am only having 31 guests. I have a question about the photographers, who have you all went with? I am on a tight budget. And am trying to figure out what to do about wedding pictures? @kosrae89 I can't wait to see your photos! I am sure it will be great. Does anyone have any ideas on whether or not it is necessary to have music during the cocktail hour? Or is the setting and just conversation enough? Also, does anyone have any group activities planned for their guests? Like dinner the night before, booze cruise, brunch after the wedding? Thanks.
  4. @JahaneeConner Do you have any pictures that you can post? Or a website with pics? What did you do to decorate your gazebo? When you got married at 4, how long did the ceremony take? And did you all do pictures during the cocktail hour? Did you have enough sunlight? Also, did you do a welcome dinner? Sorry for the questions, For your cocktail hour did you decorate the high boys? Thanks.
  5. Hello Ladies: Quick question, did any one who already had their wedding decorate the gazebo on the beach? I am trying to decide how best to decorate and want to put a bouquet of flowers on one of the poles for the gazebo. Does anyone know how much that costs? I am also going to be hanging vases on the back portion of the gazebo with tea lights in them, do you think that they will charge for this? Thanks.
  6. Hello Again: I have a question about gazebo beach wedding set up. Did any of you ladies, who had the beach wedding decorate your gazebo? I have some ideas about what I want to do, but I am not sure if its feasible, and wanted to see if anyone did? And what did you do?
  7. @@duchovny0901 I have a question about music for your ceremony. During the ceremony did you have your own music? If so, was there someone to stop the music for your bridesmaids and groomsmen and then start the music for your processional? Also, did you not use the violinist at all for your ceremony or only for the cocktail hour? Because when I asked they basically said they can't change it but I'm wondering if I push more if they will allow it.
  8. Hello All: My wedding is approaching and the planning is becoming a bit much. So I really appreciate this page. I'm bringing the majority of my centerpieces and asking them only for the vase and flower petals. Well I'm probably bringing the majority of my decorations, the sashes for my chairs (which I was unaware that you had to bring 2 sets one for the ceremony and one for the reception chairs), decoration for the gazebo, etc... I have found tons of discount wedding sites and wholesale sites that I will order things from and do one big shipment down there prior too vs packing an additional suitcase. My wedding ceremony will be on the beach and reception on the terrace since we will have close to 40-45 ppl coming. I put down 100 and will upgrade to the divine wedding package. Really the only benefit is for the added cocktail hour that they have.
  9. Hey ladies: So, I just got word back that the fountain is reserved for my wedding date ARRRGGGHHH!!! I was wondering what any of the past brides thought about the gazebo royale or the eclipse? I will have one child with me, my ring bearer and that is it, I asked my wedding planner did they make exceptions for the Eclipse for just the ceremony since it is adults only, any experience with that?
  10. I am all booked for Feb 2015, and beginning the planning process now! I read through a lot of the posts for 2014 brides and there is some really good information in that forum. But I hope that we have some other 2015 brides that start to post on this feed as well.
  11. Hello Everyone!! I too am very excited to have found this site as I begin preparations for my wedding in Feb 2015!! I haven't touched bases with my coordinator and really didn't know that I should be the first to contact her until reading this website. So, I am thankful I googled for reviews and found this site!!!
