  1. Hi Megan

We are getting married at Dreams on 6th of January 2014. We did a site visit in June when we got engaged, (Excellence Playa Mujeres).  Our wedding is very small only 7 of us in total.  We are getting married on North Beach and had planned the reception on the beach.  However I am worried that it might get too windy and cold in January.  So at the moment I am considering other venues for the reception.  My co-ord Ayahamint has suggested the wine cellar, which is nice however an extra 800 dollars, or the Terrace at Himitsu, again they want an extra 1000 dollars just to make it private.  I didnt realise that you could make exchanges on parts of the package you do not require. This is really good information thank you.  As there are only 7 of us and we have chosen the Dreams of Love package which is for 20, I will be asking to make some exchanges.

We are having a legal ceremony and want to do the sand ceremony as part of this, we both have children and they will also be taking part in the sand ceremony and the wedding.  My son is giving me away, my daughter is my bridesmaid and step sons are both best men for my H2B.

Would like to hear from anyone who had a legal ceremony to ask if they met the judge prior to the wedding and how they included the sand ceremony.

  2. Hi my wedding is on 6th of January 14 at Dreams Riviera Cancun.  We are having a legal ceremony and I just would like to hear from any other brides who have had a legal ceremony.

Does the ceremony have an exchange of vows and rings?

If you have a sand ceremony is this done at the end of the legal part?

Does the justice of the peace conduct the sand ceremony/

How long did you have to wait for your wedding certificate to arrive?

Contact with my WC is very difficult but hopefully we can sort out any issues as we arrive 8 days prior to our wedding.

    thank you

    Lou x

  3. Hi

Our children are the only guests at our wedding, my son aged 13 is giving me away, my daughter aged 20 is my bridesmaid, H2B's sons are both his best men and they are 22 and 16.  We are all going to take part in the sand ceremony.  We are lucky they all get on well together and are looking forward to being a part of our day. xx

  4. Hi Everyone

My name is Lou and I am marrying Mike on January 6th 2014 at Dreams Riviera Cancun.  We are an "older" bride and groom cheesy.gif, we both lost our partners suddenly and tragically within 3 weeks of each other and are very lucky to have found love again.  Our wedding is very small and intimate, just 7 of us.  My son who is 13 is giving me away, my daughter aged 20 is my chief bridesmaid with our daughter in law to be my other bridesmaid.  Mike's 2 sons aged 16 and 22 are his best men.

We got engaged in June in Playa Mujeres and did a site visit to Dreams whilst there.  It was perfect for our family wedding and we booked it on our return to the UK.  I have just ordered my wedding dress, and now am looking for our bridesmaids dresses.

I never thought I would be a bride again and am very excited and so looking forward to becoming Mrs Smith,

    Lou xxx
