  1. Hi ladies, I was thinking a cute idea for the welcome bags would be a tiny book of spanish sayings and/or phrases. Has anyone done this or anything like it? Curious of ideas and thoughts! Thanks!
  2. I think I agree with the other ladies. We only added a plus one if the couple was married, or if the friend or relative had been in a serious relationship for a while. BUT, as it turns out, we have a lot of +1's. Even though it has up-ed our numbers, it's still less people than we would have if we had our wedding at home, and, as mentioned, it's really just the cost of the 1 day. Just try to enjoy the ride!
  3. Hi Megan, I have been coming back to your posts constantly for tips for a while now..you did such an amazing job! I'm wondering how you did your pre-travel tips for free on vistaprint? I go to the site, then to note cards, and all I see are decorative cards. Do you even remember what you did? I think this idea is amazing, and I'd love to do it myself. Thanks in advance!
  4. wow! thank you! I was hoping there was a way around it, but it looks like a big "no". many thanks for your input!
  5. Hi ladies, I'm having a tough time deciding what to do, and I'm reaching out to your past brides and creative brides-to-be for suggestions! We are getting married at Azul Sensatori at the end of October and have about 120 guests. My fiance and I will be arriving one day prior to the first batch of guests, and we want to have welcome bags in all of the rooms for when they arrive. We do not want to spend the entire day before stuffing 120+ bags, not to mention schlepping all of the items separately in our suitcases. Has anyone attempted to FedEx/UPS a box to the resort ahead of time? My coordinator doesn't "recommend" it, since it could get stuck in customs, but I'm thinking if I send it about 6 weeks in advance it would be ok? Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?? I'd really appreciate your feedback! Thank you, lovely ladies!!
  6. Hi! I have a friend who got married in Cabo, and SWEARS by Costco for the flowers! Just hoping it's the same in Cancun. Wondering if there is a way to call in advance to pre-order flowers? Curious if anyone (recently) has done that? Thanks!
  7. Hi Ladies! Getting married in October of this year! We are planning as much of the details now, as we can, and are running into the same issues that seem normal: long response times from Miami WC, even then she doesn't have the answers from the resort, etc. We are having a larger-than-normal amount of guests (125!!), I'm finding it hard for me to find answers that I need. I'm pretty laid back, but that being said, there are a ton of people that are coming a long way, and I want to make it great! We are doing our ceremony and reception on the beach, (limited b/c of amount of people, but I'm ok w/ that) and I'm finding it difficult to plan the decor for the beach reception. I'm not sure what the basic set up is, what can be done as far as set-up goes, charges, etc. Is the only option for decor from Lomas? Also, does anyone know about bringing materials/decor vs ordering from the states and having them shipped to Mexico vs Lomas ordering etc? Any insight is greatly appreciated..thank you ladies!!
