  1. They will not waive the vendor fee. So Sorry. DJ Ivan is the resorts DJ with DJ Doremixx and he was amazing at our wedding! We gave him a very detailed list of what we like and don't like and he rocked it. Our reception was literally like a dance club. But I understand if you want your friend to DJ your wedding. Just know that they are pretty strict when it comes to the vendor fee.
  2. When you get a wedding package, the max of 35 people is what they will pay for. You can invite as many people as you want but you will pay for the extra people. The resort is pretty easy to work with when it comes to adding guests. We got the free wedding and they even allowed us to credit the semi-private wedding for 20 towards our private wedding. They are willing to help a lot as long as you are willing to ask the questions.
  3. In the end etiquette doesn't matter when it comes to the people that MUST be at your wedding. Everyone that came to our wedding at the Royal in June thought it was well worth their money and are even planning return visits. No one was offended that we paid a few family members way to go. It's your wedding day. You deserve to have all the most important people there with you.
  4. I got married in Playa del Carmen in June. We hired Cecilia Dumas as our photographer and she was perfection! She was professional, quick, artistic, and super nice! She had our pictures edited and mailed within a week of our wedding as well! Here is my more detailed review: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/products/cecilia-dumas-photography/reviews/7586 Overall, I don't believe you can get better pictures for your wedding than C ecilia, especially for the price!
  5. I Got married in June in Playa del Carmen. This dress was absolutely perfect. It is a James Clifford Dress. Very affordable for the quality.
