Hi All, I am back....so wedding is less than a month away and just got my coorinator- anyone have Elizabeth Sotelo, any advice, is she good, is she nice- I am one of the crazy giddy brides with a organisational streak- but not OCD, juts like to ocver the basis and let pepople go with the flow. I booked the extra hour as I know it will be party central. What did people do after that- head to Lobby Bar- I hear it closes at like 11, did anyone head off resort after the wedding? I am getting excietd but so much to do as we are emigrating back to Ireland straight afterwards- Eeeek so still have apartment stuff to sell I also (demading bride that I am) wanted to know about the hair and make-up I heard it is wonderful and I booked a trial session and a sesion on the day- but any advice as what to do to prepare before hand would be appreiciated. Just made final payment for wedding in Feb- whoop whoop- still have to get shoes and undergarments- I am in NYC- any advice??? P.s. still didnt tell family- when it comes to it they will understand it was a formality

Hi All, So most of you seem to be doing what we are doing and getting married before you head down. I'm Irish and we married in March and now my family is asking when are we going to get married in NY as they all want to fly over. How did you let family know that you already did the deed ans they should just enjoy the destination ceremony?? Stressed!!!

Shipping will be an issue as you have to collect the items at customs and pay!! Also they can get delayed and lost a lot of the times - so I am brining it all in suitcases and giving some hopefully over to the guests coming from the same airport! But remember to bring invoices as anything of $100 per item may be an issue and you will have to ensure them you are not selling these items in Mexico and its for a wedding. Hope it all works out Also my WC went of 3 weeks vacation as well- wonder if they are restructuring because of the buy out from Hyatt at the Royal??

Hi All, so our wedding is at 4pm until 9pm- what did other brides do- book an extra hour or head inside to the bar?? Just wondering if the extra per person and for the DJ is worth it? Advice and thoughts appreciated

Resort was lovely and very clean. Drinks, activities were all 5*. Food on the other hand was by far the worst iv had at any resort in mexico. Sadly all my guests got sick on multiple occasions and we found ourselves eating across the street at the AMAZING italian restaurant. So when you go there bring lots of immodium and pepto. My wedding went so perfect and couldnt ask for a better day! Flora was my onsite coordinater and she had absolutely everything under control.my guests said the food at the wedding was the best at the resort so far..I on the other had couldnt eat since my stomach had been in knots from the past couple days eating resort food. One tip tho to save some cash do not..I repeat do not buy the lounge furniture they offer for 250. I wanted my wedding to be fun and relaxing and the resort took their crappy old beat up furniture from the lobby. The photo they showed me was beautiful white chairs with blue cusions anda nice table with a candle on it. I was pissed! It was a huge eye sore and no one sat on them. If your thinking about getting upgrades....dont....I myself am so bloody picky and want what I want for my big day and honestly they do better work keeping things simple because when they try to upgrade they make things look a little tacky...so the more simple decorations are much nicer. I had a hair and makeup trial done and it came out perfect the first time but when I went back on my wedding day it came out completely different and I brought the same pictures and everything lol I was ok with this because these girls are so talented! It was beautiful and it didnt move all day/night and it was pretty windy. Well all in all my day was perfect and I know your girls day will be the same! Ahhj I am so terrified that the photo and video from the resort will be awful..from all the reviews, but I'm not sure we can afford to pay for an outside vendor....sniff sniff...#totallyconfused

I lost some weight and was doing fantastic... Nearly 20lbs down and another 20-25 to go...when my life turned upside down and my healthy living did also...now I have been...good...its been two months of diffenet stresses and upheavals day after day..but I only put on 5lbs....is there a motivational thread on here?? The Biggest Loser one seems to have finished....my wedding is next year..but my brothers is September... Really want to loose 15 before then at least (healthy) advice is welsome

We are also getting married on Feb 7th 2014, I was planning on doing a site visit in maybe October but my hubby to be feels the same...then I showed him the reimburse the rooms - doing a visit allows you to meet your coordinator & make sure everything is to your liking and if not you can change it and the have a few months to work it out...maybe you and me should go together ...leave the boys behind lol . Can I ask did you get your contract etc.yet? I am still awaiting Ana to send it to me before I send my Save the dates in case something isn't correct with date and location- as I had to battle them a bit on it:)

I am trying to finalize my date for Feb 2014...but they are telling me even though my deposit is placed ...that my spot wasn't booked in time for the date I wanted!!!

Can't wait to get my points... Have been posting n commenting lots....Cancun 2014 here we come
