Jennifer- you are seriously too kind! Thank you for the huge compliment! I honestly feel like I could not have done it without this forum and the wonderful ladies on here and that's one reason I wanted to share my planning thread as well- if even one girl gets an idea for her big day it's worth it to continue to share our ideas! I have had many people tell me what you said about continuing this ok for other girls and I have realized that it is a passion of mine so I will have to explore and see what that means for me Thanks again and best of luck to you! -
Kelly you are so kind. Thank you for the compliments! I, too, stumbled upon BDW and was amazed at everything so I'm so glad to have been able to pass on my projects and what gathered from the site for the next girls! I love that you "borrowed" (lol) things. I'd love to see all your stuff. Will you do a planning thread? If so, post a link so I can check it out congrats and best of luck on your big day!

I actually did a post on what I got for my girls and I know it seems like a lot but I really really appreciated them coming out to MX for me and everything else that they did. I also didn't really spend that much considering how much I got. I am so excited for you that you just booked Samuel. He is seriously great. We did our TTD the day after the wedding. Sam picked us up at Azul and drove us to Puerto Moreles beach, which is about 15 min away. We did the TTD in the evening and we had to be in the lobby the next morning at 4:30 to catch our transfer to the airport! I was nervous about the dress drying in time but it worked out! As soon as we got back to the room, I rinsed my dress in the shower and then put it on the patio to dry. At about midnight I decided to go ahead and pack it up and it was surprisingly mostly dry. I put it in the garnet bag and then rolled it up and put it in a carry on bag by itself. We flew out of ATL but live in CLT so 2 flights and a 4 hour drive later, I took it out o the bag at about 8:00 that evening. I put it on my porch to finish drying and it's totally fine! I will have it cleaned professionally and then decide to keep it or turn it into a short dress to wear on our anniversary. Overall, I feel like "trashing" it didn't actually ruin it at all.

Glad I could help! Yes, private receptions are 4 hours. After my reception we all jumped in the pool and swam until the guard told us the pool was closed lol! But if you want to continue partying there are options like the mojito lounge that stay open late with music, hookah, etc!

Tara- Thank you for the compliments! We had 30 people (mostly in their twenties and very early thirties- but also our 2 year old, and 8 year old, 12 year old and then a group of our parents and their friens age ranging from 62-70). We felt like there was something for EVERYONE. We did host a couple events but you definitely don't need to play host all week. We also had one couple (our best man) who was celebrating their 3rd anniversary during the week and the resort was a nice enough size that they were able to sneak away and be alone when they wanted to. We all played beach volleyball everyday, the kids thought they were so cool ordering virgin drinks at the swim up bar. At night, we smoked hookah and went to plenty of live entertainment and even a casino night one night. It was the best vacation and every one of my guests said so. It was also by far the best resort food I have ever had. Hope this helps!

Hi! I just got back Sunday and we were in the Premium Swim Up Suite. I definitely didn't think there were any issues with privacy and I LOVED having a swim up suite. We had the jazcuzzi in our room as well as one outside, and then the pool bed that led into the lazy river. The only thing I did not like is that our guests that weren't "Premium" weren't allowed to be in the area at all! I really thought this was lame especially at night bc I have a toddler. I wanted to out him to bed and then hang out on our balcony/hot tub/pool right outside our room. I'm not gonna lie... at night we broke this rule. I felt like if I paid for a premium suite I was going to enjoy that hot tub with whoever I wanted. How could they tell me someone can't be in my hot tub? Besides, once he went to bed I couldn't leave my room... I was trapped and my guests weren't technically allowed to come hang? lame! Other than that, I loved the concept and didn't have any issue with privacy. During the day I typically didn't break that rule bc we jsut went over to the family pool by the "Wave Swim Up Bar" and made that our group's spot for the week. It was wonderful! Also, I was a June 2013 bride and I started contact with my Miami WC in March 2012. I made all those food decisions, etc just to get it out of the way and then changed anything I wanted as time went on. The decisions are not set in stone until you pay, but at least they are out of the way if you make them early and don't need to change them. Definitely do whatever you are comfortable with, though!

Thank you! We used one of the cocktail parties as our farewell party and it worked out nice. We chose the "Zocalo Terrace" which is close enough to Zocalo Bar if your guests do chose to get a different drink. At the event they set up a private little bar area just for you and your guests and this is the one where they can only get certain drinks from. It worked out just fine, though and everyone liked it!

Thank you! No... That wouldn't be weird at all! I totally recommend doing them! It was so fun and even my hubby* (love saying that!) said it was way more fun than he expected it to be and he loooooves the 2 pics we have seen so far. -

Everyone's pictures are sooo beautiful and yes- every single bride is stunning! I love your rustic shower Natalie! My girls threw me a shower at the resort as well and it was wonderful. My girls really outdid themselves! Here are the only two teaser my photographer has posted so far: Keep the pictures coming girls!! -

Yay! I was one of the lucky brides to run into Tammy while at Azul this past week. We just got back (had our wedding June 28) and already can not wait to go back!! Our wedding was seriously amazing and we had the best time ever!!! My guests have not stopped complimenting me on choice of resort, how awesome everything was and how they had the best time ever. Comments that were popular "Best wedding ever," "you seriously know how to throw a party," "your DJ was phenomenal!," "everyone at this resort is incredibly friendly and the staff bends over backward for you!," "your attention to detail and sentiment is unmatched- tour OOT bags, your decorations, programs, everything..." I could go on! Everyone absolutely loved Azul. I will wrote a review soon and post pis as soon as I get them. Our photographer (Samuel Luna) will post some teasers soon but the rest will take 8 weeks. In the meantime here are 2 teasers from my friends iPhone

Congrats to everyone... All you ladies look so beautiful!! We had the.best.time.EVER!! I'm talking- seriously the best! Every single one of my guests just raved about the whole week- the resort, the food, the events, and of course the wedding and reception! I literally cried when we got home. I'm so sad it's all over! My photographer will post a few teasers soon and I'll post them here, but it will be 8 weeks until we get all the pics. We also did a trash the dress photoshoot and I especially can't wait to see those! Our DJ was literally amazing and everyone was on their feet dancing all night! At the end of the reception we all jumped in the pool and swam and continued partying. It was just such an awesome week. Thank you to all you ladies for everything! I'll post "real" pics soon but here are 2 teasers from my friends iPhone -
