Hi, We are getting married at T&C next summer and looking to find out who the best DJ on the island is that people might be able to recommend. We're all about top 40 hits, mix of hiphop, pop, club music that will get people DANCING. Thinking along the lines of Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna, Nikki Minaj, Pitbull, etc. We will have a relatively large party around 80ish people and mostly in their late 20s, very early 30s. Our planner recommended DJ Dayoh, DJ William John, DJ Viper, DJ Cliff...but it seems that DJ Dayoh is the only DJ with a website. Any thoughts will be appreciated, thank you!!!

hello!! does anyone have some sort of a semi/quasi comprehensive list of musicians on the island? from what i understand there are only 3 ceremony music options available -- acoustic guitar, sax, steel drums. does anyone have a sort of list of who these people might be? and possible contact info or website? and also same for dj and band. i've seen mentions of dj williams, dj cliff, dj john, subtronic sound, etc etc...so confusing! does anyone have contact info for these (and poss others?) djs and/or websites? thank you!!!

wow that's sad to hear! did the makeup in the end look decent? and hair? is shenique from sheque perfections and then ann/makeup with geraldine/hair the only two options available for hair and makeup on the island? i have not heard of other options...

hello everyone on this thread! i'm a newbie live in nyc and thinking TCI for destination wedding. is anyone planning/has planned a wedding with a size of 80-100 guests? starting to do a little research on venues and it's daunting as it seems like this is considered a "large wedding" for the island!! any recos on venue locations? do all resorts require room blocks just to have ceremony and/or reception dins on their property?? thanks

Hi everyone! I just recently got engaged, and my fiance and I are thinking TCI for possible destination wedding location. We are thinking something around 80-100 guests though...which seems like a "large" party for the island? For those who may know TCI well from having planned wedding out there, or possibly a local resident.... What are some of the locations that can accommodate a party of our size? For ceremony, we're open to the beach, but drawn more to a sort of lawn-like setting overlooking the beach or even boardwalk type flooring if possible. For reception, somewhere that may be outside with an option to tent in case of bad weather (maybe like a patio setting)? DEFINITELY room for some dancing!!! Initially we were looking at The Somerset b/c the package was doable budget wise & location options looked nicest but we're really concerned about the minimum room blocks!!! We really don't expect our guest who are flying into attend our wedding to pay $600+/night (room for two), at 3 night minimum! No offense, but with this rate you can get some nice rooms at the super star hotels like The Plaza, The Mandarin Oriental, Waldorf Astoria in NYC!!! It just feels really inconsiderate to expect our guests to pay so much for lodging to attend our wedding. Even with a group rate, I can't imagine the number will drop that significantly... Any thoughts would be so helpful to hear!! Thank you!!!

Hello! I just got engaged early this year and we're thinking of getting married next summer (2014). We want to have a destination wedding and thinking Turks and Caicos right now... We thought having a 80-100 guest wedding wouldn't be considered so huge (since it's considered a pretty intimate wedding stateside!) but it sounds like 80-100 guest wedding is considered quite large for TCI? Yikes. Anyone who might be planning a wedding out there of similar size? OR perhaps someone who has recently wed there, or is from there locally who might have more insight as to what locations accommodate that size? It sounds like Regent Palms, Somerset and Grace Bay are the three big ones...anywhere else? DOesn't have to be super fancy for us as long as it's clean! We are more about having a grand old fun time with all of our close friends!! ANy help would be awesome!! Thank you!!
