  1. Booked all at the same time, 2 others added to it later on. You don't know the date, so we booked the holiday and told them a preferred date - and got it. There is no kind of availability checker as such. Don't think the hotel will entertain you either until they know you are booked in to stay there. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  2. I booked via Thomas cook, sent the hotel an email and waited.. Don't expect a reply for a long time, I get married in September this year, still waiting to speak to them in any kind of detail. Got date, time and location but that's it. I'm not worried though as they only get going with discussions 3 months before the date. Just book the holiday then email them and relax! 4. Ahh good, but would rather have em before hand.. Do they look like this.. http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/130953496184?nav=SEARCH Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  5. Silly question, but has anyone got any info on the sockets the hotels use for the electricity? Have heard they are round so can only use certain adaptors - which are conveniently sold in the gift shop.. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  6. Yeah I probably worded that wrong.. So when the bars shut at 11, is it still AI drinks in the hacienda bars?
  7. Whats the status regarding all inclusive at the resort now? I heard they had stopped AI from 11pm or so. But yet Ive not seen any reviews mentioning this anywhere.. doh!
  8. 150 people?! Wow. That's why its so much extra! The packages are for 20/30 people. You have to understand the restaurants are open to the paying holiday people at the same time as your wedding reception. You would be taking over the entire place! The extra staff involved etc for a wedding reception of that size would obviously incur extra cost. Maybe you should trim it down a bit.. By 120 people!
  9. So the holiday prices are out now. Anyone have an updated price list for the wedding packages yet?
  10. Im waiting for Thomas Cook, when I priced up on Thomsons it was a fair bit more expensive. I think we are just booking for a few of us to begin with and the rest can `add on' to the package when they make their mind up..

  12. Just been told by our travel agents in the UK that Summer 2014 holidays go on sale April 25th, thats with both Thomson and Thomas Cook. So the prices for the weddings must be out at the same time for weddings.. hopefully!

  14. Anyone got the new prices for summer 2014 weddings yet? Ive emailed them numerous times now but no reply from the address posted at the start of this thread. One of the email addresses doesn't work, and the other one I get no reply at all.. grr!
  15. Exactly! So she can do the important stuff, like erm... erm, picking shoes out and stuff Just a shame I cant actually do anything at all yet until they release the prices and holidays for August 2014... hurry up people!
  16. Let me know your results from this, looking at an August 2014 wedding but cant book anything until the actual holiday prices go on sale.. grrr! Also - why does everyone think its just the brides on here? Im the groom and Im sorting most stuff out on here rather than `her indoors'. haha.
  17. Great thanks hun! Was a bit worried that they would tell me to sling it!
  18. Has anyone had any really small parties to there weddings? The way its going its looking like under 10 people (including us!) will be at ours. Is this still do-able or do they have a minimum amount of people for it go ahead?
  19. Thanks for the reply Kirsten! Just one more (for now) question.. Ive not seen anything on here about minimum amount of people to book a wedding, but on the hotel website it states minimum of 20 people per package. Im aiming at a small group of maybe 20 people, but with a good chance of people dropping out.. Would that mean they wouldn't go through with the wedding? I have read in here somewhere though of small groups of like 10 people getting married..
  20. Thanks a lot! Im guessing that when you book via thomas cook etc they just speak with the WC at the hotel. So thats why I was just thinking it would be better, quicker (and slightly cheaper) to cut out the middle man and just book direct with the hotel... hmm!
  21. Just a quickie, anyone out there from the UK who have booked there wedding here via Thomas Cook? I was wondering what the pros and cons are of booking through them, or booking direct with the hotel...
  22. Just want to thank you for this thread, its amazingly detailed and has helped us out so much in beginning to plan our wedding. Thanks for spending so much of your time on it!
