Hi Katie, I am so happy that you will wed in the Dominican Republic. The more time you have to plan, the better. October is a beautiful month as it is a bit cooler and not as crowded. With the summer months you have intense heat. Both of the Paradisus Resorts are lovely. The Paradisus Palma Real is a bit less expensive than the Paradisus Punta Cana. Keep in mind that the Paradisus Palma Real has very few ocean view rooms. If you are inviting children to your wedding, the Paradisus Palma Real makes a lot of sense. They can stay in The Reserve section which provides larger "suites" and are just next door to the main hotel. Have you considered the Now Larimar in Punta Cana. It is part of the AM Resorts (Secrets, Dreams, Zoetry, Now, Sunscape). If you are only inviting adults, you may wish to consider the Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana which is next to the Now Larimar.
