Don't be sad about the no personal touch. He didn't involve any of family. my mom had no idea. That is adorable! I love it! I can't say my ring has a personal touch lol. I thought my fiance would design his own because we have a friend who's father works in the diamond district and he works in advertising. He has a great eye but he didn't attempt to design a ring lol. He had my mom take me one random day and l ate it up hook line and sinker. I just tried on different rings, she took pics of them, and she sent them to him. They ended up going together anyway. I love the idea of the heart details. You must look at it and smile every day! So sweet. -
Haha wow thanks!

I had sent him a pic of this ring as a joke a few years ago. he kept it and had it made with a heart under the center stone. I and a left half heart and right half heart under the side stones. As a personal touch. He also had the sides hand engraved with vines.... He's Italian lol. The pics really don't do it justice!

I am getting married atthe Akumal resort in just under a year. I find all the photography very confusing. I have read that you have to pay for three days for the photographer to stay. then five days, then you can't do it at all.
I have looked at this vendors pics and they are nice, but they are literally ALL the same. and also VERY expensive for what they provide. I am more into photo journalism ad they just don't shoot like that. I would love some accurate info.

I feel like I am losing my mind trying to do/ book/ plan anything. This forum just seems to spin me out even more lol.
I sent Eugenia a huge list of questions a couple of weeks ago, and as soon as she answers she's gettin bombarded.

95 guests sounds like one hell of a party! That's going to be SO awesome!!!
Here is the jacuzzi bar as it was set up for Kristi's wedding. This was at about 4:30, so clearly they aren't done getting set up yet, but you get an idea and it's set up differently than Cheryl's wedding.
Here is Cheryl's wedding at night. You can see the lights around the sides and the DJ is next to the bar.
For Portofino, here is the outside, half naked man comes included:
The inside:
One of the long tables from the wedding:
And the cute little menus they make for your guests (chicken was delicious!):
I am not really excited, just stressed and irrtaed until I see these pics... and then I get so excited I feel like I could puke!

Just think about it, your going to a different country, culture. The mexican culture will out do us at any given time, as they sure know how to set up a wedding. Right from the beginning of ur wedding day, until the end...
In the end, think about what matters... your getting married in a beautiful country with beautiful people...
I seriously try and remember this every time something happens that upsets me. I wish I was better at being consistant with remembering this.

I'm actually really excited to go do our wedding bands as well! I feel like I was so sad notbeing able to pick my engagement ring that I want to have all kinds of opinions about my wedding band.

In all honesty.. I wouldn't sweat it until they really don't show up. I know you want him to be there and so he should be there for you on your day.
Talk to your dad directly and be open and honest about how you feel.
We are getting married in Mexico next November an my fiance's dad has chosen not to come because he can't risk being laid over in the states for whateve reason. I am disappointed that he won't be there for my fiance, but If he wants to use that as an excuse what can we say really?

I am havin the same concern... someone told me there is only the option of a seafood restaurant and some other restuarant... I HATE SEAFOOD.
If I don't get a response I may FREAK out.

I am so enlightened t hear of people having good experieces with the weddng coordinators... how long did it take you to actually hear from her? I have Eugenia from AKumal and can't seem to nail her down or any real info.

I was so disappointed about the knot as well, now I feel like I had my heart set on something they had and if I want the same thing I have only been able to find it for more than double the price
