  1. That is adorable! I love it! I can't say my ring has a personal touch lol. I thought my fiance would design his own because we have a friend who's father works in the diamond district and he works in advertising. He has a great eye but he didn't attempt to design a ring lol. He had my mom take me one random day and l ate it up hook line and sinker. I just tried on different rings, she took pics of them, and she sent them to him. They ended up going together anyway. I love the idea of the heart details. You must look at it and smile every day! So sweet.
Don't be sad about the no personal touch. He didn't involve any of family. my mom had no idea.
  2. I am getting married atthe Akumal resort in just under a year. I find all the photography very confusing. I have read that you have to pay for three days for the photographer to stay. then five days, then you can't do it at all.

I have looked at this vendors pics and they are nice, but they are literally ALL the same. and also VERY expensive for what they provide. I am more into photo journalism ad they just don't shoot like that.  I would love some accurate info.

And how does it work? If there's 4 brides getting married in Tulum that day, and all 4 brides want to do poolside reception... wouldn't it be first come first serve?

I feel like I am losing my mind trying to do/ book/ plan anything. This forum just seems to spin me out even more lol.

I sent Eugenia a huge list of questions a couple of weeks ago, and as soon as she answers she's gettin bombarded.

Portofino and the Coba poolside reception are easy :)

95 guests sounds like one hell of a party!  That's going to be SO awesome!!!

Here is the jacuzzi bar as it was set up for Kristi's wedding.  This was at about 4:30, so clearly they aren't done getting set up yet, but you get an idea and it's set up differently than Cheryl's wedding.

Here is Cheryl's wedding at night.  You can see the lights around the sides and the DJ is next to the bar.

Hi Gals... Havnt been here for awhile. Just came back home yesterday. Everything was 100%. The wedding coordinator, Karla was superb. Same as the the resort photographer, pictures that he captured on our wedding day are beautiful and prices are not that bad...Dont worry about tables, flowers and all those little things... Just think about it, your going to a different country, culture. The mexican culture will out do us at any given time, as they sure know how to set up a wedding. Right from the beginning of ur wedding day, until the end...

In the end, think about what matters... your getting married in a beautiful country with beautiful people...

I seriously try and remember this every time something happens that upsets me. I wish I was better at being consistant with remembering this.

  6. In all honesty.. I wouldn't sweat it until they really don't show up. I know you want him to be there and so he should be there for you on your day.

Talk to your dad directly and be open and honest about how you feel.

We are getting married in Mexico next November an my fiance's dad has chosen not to come because he can't risk being laid over in the states for whateve reason. I am disappointed that he won't be there for my fiance, but If he wants to use that as an excuse what can we say really?
