  1. Hi SusanMarie813

Katy from Love & Lace is your gal !

However if your wedding coordinator lives in Cancun perhaps she is familiar with Mercado 23 located in downtown Cancun, it is the local's market (not to be mistaken with Market 28).

Although there are many party supply shops I believe only in "Artesanias Hidalgo" is where you can find sparklers almost all year round.

The phone number is: 998 884 6173 perhaps she can call in advance to ensure they have them in stock.

I hope this information is helpful, best of luck!

  2. @@rizzoroxx - You have many options for a Catholic ceremony in the Cancun & Riviera Maya area.

The first option is to have it all at the hotel that has a chapel. Gran Caribe, Moon Palace, Valentin Imperial Maya, Dreams Tulum would be our top picks from our experiences.

Your other option is to pick any hotel you wish and hold the Ceremony at one of the many wonderful churches we have in the area. Nuestra Senora Del Carmen in Playa or another in Puerto Morelos called Iglesia de San Jose There is also a private chapel next too Maroma beach !

You can also have an offsite location for your ceremony for after the Church or go back to the hotel.

Lots of options. Perhaps looking through the forums you can find some help or contact one of the many wedding coordinators that live here and makes things easy on yourself !

Best of luck in your planning !

The BBGE does charge a fee for us to document your day you will need to check with your Wedding Coordinator to be sure of the current rates.

If you have any questions I am happy to help it might be best to email us to receive a quick response.

  6. Hi Girls

Here some inspiration and pics from a recent wedding where the Groomsman whore TOMS shoes.  We have seen other weddings where Brides have gifted them to Bridesmaids and rocked them for the dance floor! Also It's a great way to wear shoes without having to worry about sinking in the sand.

    I agree with DinaQtobe,

I also have 3 bridesmaids and Aaron has 2 groomsmen confirmed (3rd will know in Feb if he can make it or not).  I think its more important to have the people you want around you on the big day, not to make the pictures look ' balanced'.  Plus...a good photographer can come up with ideas to make the group shots look great!  And...one lucky groomsmen will get to walk up the aisle with 2 beautiful ladies...those pics will be cute too!

Hi AndreaandAaron - We agree there are lots of great shots with odd numbers. Here is a few of our fav's from recent.

My FI is insisting on 3 groomsmen/bestman, and I'm short one bridesmaid. Would you guys suggest that I find someone else or keep the 2 girls? It would look weird in pictures wouldn't it?

    Hi Futuremrswarner :)

Not worry the formal photos still look great with odd numbers too !

My name is Stacie and Iâ€m getting married at Beach Palace Cancun on August 10, 2013. I am likely the 1,000th Beach Palace bride asking the same questions as the previous 999 Beach Palace brides :). Any help/answers/tips/advice is greatly appreciated!!!

    Some of my details:

    • Second wedding for us both
    • Target guest count is 30 (so we can have a reception)
    • Still debating on Complimentary Collection vs. Pearl Shimmer
    • I like the Photography Package A, but weâ€re thinking of upgrading to the Deluxe so we can get coverage before the ceremony and at the reception +  the CD w/images
    • Still debating on the DJ; go with resort offered DJ or bring an iPod and let our friend (who is a DJ) work the mic
    • Anyone know what kind of special rates are offered to the B&G for their actual stay (not the site visit)?

    Hi Chacie B

To help you visulize the Pearl Shimmer Decor that Beach Palace has we have attached a few photos from a recent wedding on the Sky Terrace !

    Hope it helps.

Have any of you come across any ideas of where to hire either of these two things?  I know Azul Sensatori offers the donkey for their very reasonable wedding prices!  I hope I don't regret not getting married there.  More importantly- any ideas?

Please help an American searching for vendors in Cancun...

    Thank you

To Answer your question, We can reccomend Leanne Rogers [email protected] with www.leannemarieweddings.com She can arrange all of it for you.

A recent bride and groom brought the donkey and it was a big hit.

Good Luck in your plans !

  10. Hi Janelly

I have worked twice at this church, I can tell you what you need to incorporate the "Mexican traditions" to your wedding ceremony if this is what you wish for !

Arras: One of the most unique traditions in a Mexican wedding is the giving of "Arras"- gold or silver coins given by the groom to the bride. Thirteen gold coins are presented; they are each blessed by the priest presiding over the ceremony. The 13 coins represent Christ and the 12 apostles, and symbolically refer to the groom's commitment to support, provide and care for his bride.

Lazo:  (lasso) As part of the ceremony to symbolize unity, a large loop of rosary beads or a lasso (cord) is placed in a figure eight (infinite) shape around the necks of the couple after they have exchanged their vows.
A special person/couple places the lasso around the shoulders of the bride and groom. The couple wears the lasso throughout the remainder of the service. This symbolizes' the couples union and unbreakable bond of their love and trust. At some point of the ceremony, the lasso is removed by either the person which placed the lasso on the couple, or the priest.

Ramo: (an extra bouquet of flowers) almost at the end of the ceremony the priest will ask you to the do the presentation of flowers to Mary through prayer and the laying of the bouquet.

Biblia: A Bible to be blessed by the priest.

If you decide to don't incorporate this traditions on your wedding day, you only need to let know to the priest that you don't have any of this items, and he will skip this steps of the Ceremony.

    Good luck in your planning!
