Hi everyone. I can't believe my wedding is this month! I've booked it a year ago and before I knew it, it's a few weeks away! Date: April 30, 2014 Time: 4:30pm Hotel: Iberostar Rose Hall Suites Ceremony Location: Beach Cocktail Hour: On the beach at ceremony site. Reception Type: Dinner at Aunt Ruby's Reception Location: Bonfire on beach after dinner. Reception Time: Dinner 6:30-8:30, bonfire 8:30-10:30 Music: Steel Pan drums for ceremony and DJ for bonfire Photographer: Dean Clarke Videographer: None Guest Amount: 52 guests confirmed! So far planning is going smoothly and the resort wedding staff are great. The only downfall is Tai Flora - resort associated decorations and floral company. I feel that the email responses are written very rudely. I am just over 3 weeks away and I have no idea what is going on with my decor and flowers as should be organized by Tai Flora.

It is the scariest and most stressful thing to go through! You are a strong woman too! My fiancé also escaped brain damage which was amazing. So happy we came to the decision of a destination wedding for many reasons but on top of that this site has has so many wonderful and positive words from brides and future brides, I'm looking forward for every moment of it!

Thank you very much! Yes in the end the reasons are the same just the motivation is different. From reading all the planning blogs I'm also looking forward for stress free planning. I know if I opted for a wedding in town I would have way too much on my plate with planning.

Our choice of a destination wedding is a little different then everyone else's. We got engaged in July this summer, shortly after the engagement my fiancé had a horrible motorcycle accident which put him into the intensive care unit for a full month where I was just forced to hold my breath and wait. He miraculously overcame six surgeries and was able to walk out of the hospital 3 month after his accident. As of now he has about a year of rehabilitation and therapy to go through and we knew as soon as he is fully recovered we wanted to celebrate in a HUGE way. We decided on a destination wedding for us and our family because it will be a week long celebration of life together. After everything we have gone through it will be an amazing feeling to relax in paradise with family and friends we love. Our first trip together was to Jamaica and thats also where we fell in love with the destination and each other. We set the date for April 2014 and pray he will be fully recovered by then This is a picture of us in Jamaica a few years ago, and there other one is of us now.
