Tx bride- about the linen at the resort....they use the same set up for all weddings. I tried to get a white satin linen set up and they could not do it for me. Words can't ever explain how disappointed I am with how things are going with the gran caribe real. It is so hard to talk to my WC and when I do none of my questions aee amswered and I get no where. It is impossible for them to meet my needs in regards to adding different linen flowers and meals. If it is not listed in their choices good luck on getting what you want. I thought of hiring an outside vendor but time is running out and the cost is too high. Sorry just needed to vent! It doesn't feel like MY day anymore. Wish I wemt with a different resort for this kind of money.

Catfish, I think your the only lucky one in the floral department....I have been getting outrageous quotes from them. Is it really cheaper to go outside the resort for flowers since they will charge a vendor fee?

Hey girls! Are any of you doing welcome bags for your guests? If so what are you putting in them? My friend went to a wedding in mexico and she has stuff like imodium, viramin c, candy bars, maps and water bottles....is putting imodium in your welcome bags a little odd? I feel thay way but maybe that's just me...

I'm finding a photographer here in edmonton and she will stay for a week with my group so that way I don't have to pay day passes if I use a photographer in mexico. I was thinking about going with del sol photography but with my photographer that I found here that's well known does up to ten hours of wedding day coverage (if needed) an engagment session and a ttd session all for less than what they charge and its only for 5 hours with del sol (u can purchase hourly after that). Its really all up to preference and budget I guess.

Haha Ya I just talked to mine too! She said they will be separate. The one that I'm on has the green floor ( I don't think it's green anymore tho but there pictures are out dated she said) that over looks the pool on the roof. Which terrace are you on?

I paid for a private reception so no offence but I hope our weddings aren't side by side haha I do know that there is a "terrace" beside the gazebo. The terrace that I booked is on the roof. My wc is Erika

I know I was really disappointed when she came back with rhetoric quote. I'm actually thinking of hiring a company to come in and do decorations instead because it's way cheaper the also do florals too.

Oh and ladies I got my quote back for different centerpieces consisting of hydrenas (spelling lol) roses and 2stem orchids per in a taller vase but not crazy big so people can still see everyone and the wanted $475 EACH!!!! The vibe I'm getting from this place is to just be happy with what they offer and what's included in your package or you will pay one larrrgggeeee penny if you want to customize anything. I sent another quote out through my WC for satin linen instead of the cloth that the have and I'm scared to see what it will be. have any of you had linen options to choose from or are you ladies just using what they have?

Ncalvar my ceremony is at 4pm on the beach then cocktail hour and reception is up on the terrace what are you plans! see you there for a drink on the beach!

Does anyone know how good they are with large groups? Im looking at 40-45 people now which i had no idea since many said they couldnt make it and now they are joining us. My coordinator doesnt sou d too happy and is pushing me to get the ultimate luxury package when i dont think its needed. I just wanted to pay the $10 a plate extra for the guests since it would work out cheaper anyway.

Hey ladies, i dont know if any of you can answer this but for the wedding day if you book your ceremony at 4:00 and hour cocktail at 430 reception at 530 does it seriously have to be shut down at 830 in the evening?? Are we allowed to stay and keep dancing and enoy our wedding day or are we kicked out by 830 lol
