That's such a lovely idea having it to keep as a memento. I will have to find some nice long necklaces! Thanks for the idea! XThank You! I'm actually just going to make my own hair vine. I know the basics of beading and jewelry making, so I figured I could handle making a simple beaded necklace. I read an article on Jennifer Lawrence's hair vine from the Hunger Games premiere that said she just took a vintage gold necklace, braided it into her hair and then flipped/pulled apart the braid pinning it with the necklace intertwined.  seems simple enough. I'm going to make a necklace that I can then later wear as a memory of the day. So, just could just do some necklace shopping for it, vs. using something specifically made for hair. -
I adore the hair vines, any idea where you can buy these/ have them made (I'm guessing etsy?). I love your overall style I think it goes really well together! I would choose the second earrings btw! XHere's the headband, which couldn't match the beading pattern and rhinestones more perfectly. Also the veil which has some rhinestones and pearls, it's two tier scalloped edge, fingertip length. .. try to ignore the roots. I'm also going to make small rhinestone-magnetic veil weights to keep the veil from blowing all over the place. When I get them made, I'll post them on here for you all to see. This style with the headband behind the braid hair vine idea shots, I also love the little tendrils on the last shot. I haven't decided btwn these two earring sets yet, but I think I'm leaning toward the second set. shoes nails... I also have a rhinestone cuff, but I don't have a picture of it. essentially, everything about me is gonna sparkle... and that's just the way I like it. I'm hoping that if I keep it pulled back a bit on each piece it won't be too overwhelming all together.. Posting all of this was pretty helpful actually, it's the first time I've seen it all laid out together. -
Thanks xWhen we went Generation had just opened and I don’t think they had any quests staying there yet. We toured the small resort and it was beautiful. They keep the kids separate from EDM, guest that are staying there and are 16 and over can use the restaurants, pool and amenities at EDM but children must stay at the Generations side. El Dorado Generation has its own pool, restaurant and beach front area to insure that EDM stays an adult’s only escape -
Thanks so much for the review! Did you notice that there where many children around the EDM (beach, restaurants etc) because of the new generations hotel? I'm sure your wedding will be beautiful & you will love your choice!I went to EDM in Aug 2012 for a site visit, The property and the beach are serene. It was a very romantic trip and they have many beautiful locations for wedding ceremonies and reception. I loved the chapel, its right on the beach next to palm trees The resort is smaller with about 100 rooms, they also just opened a family section next door called El Dorado Maroma Generations. Its new, beautiful and great for families. The resort is also next door to the marina maroma which has many water sports and ATV and horseback riding tours. The location is remote from other resorts but it adds to the romantic getaway feel. The staff was great and the drinks (top shelf liquor) and the food were good too, 24 hour room service was a real plus! We booked our wedding for Paradisus in Playa Del Carmen which is completely different type of resort but I am regretting not going with Maroma, just thinking about the beach and the ambia nce there makes me miss it already. It was a very tough choice for me but if you love the beach and want a smaller type of resort with 5 star amenities, then this is the place to go, Hope I was able to help! -
Wow congratulations on 25 years Mary, you are also super organised!Well I am actually renewing my vows for my 25th anniversary.I picked the resort, paid my wedding deposit to hold my day, ordered my invites, and will purchase my dress after attending trunk show on FEB.22... Also have booked my photographer..... -
This is such a clever idea, I love it!For my vow renewal, I have my sister as my MOH and my daughter as a bridesmaid. Who are the people women most fight with? Thier sisters and daughters. When thinking of my bridesmaids dresses, this popped in my mind. I think my daughter would be the most challanging, at 13, I could not see me winning a you are wearing this dress fight.I do not want that stress on the ceremony day. So, I picked the infinity dress for both of them. I have yet to decide on the color, but this way #1 they can wear it how ever they wish and #2 they can wear it again and again and have different dresses all the time. I know I do not want black for the color but this picture had a very good demonstration of all the ways you can wear the same dress. -
Hi Future Mrs Perez I am also a 2015 bride in the same boat. I am from the UK and the travel agents here will not book for August 2015 until April 2014! That seems like so far away but I am looking into everything & getting as many ideas as possible now so I can book straight away. This forum is full of fab ideas. Good luck with your planning xIt's nice to know of another 2015 bride how far along in your planning are you? My fiancé and I have just started. There is so much I want to do but cannot book yet since some places won't allow it.- 1

Both of these are perfect I love them both! Thanks for sharing. Here are mine And the ones I will change into for dancing -
Hi have a look on the knock off wedding thread you will find lots of replica photos and advice on choosing a company to make your dress for you. Jasmines Bridal Shop seems to get good reviews. If you really want to TTD but not use your original dress a replica is a brilliant idea. Good luck x

Lovely dress, sometimes you just know when something is "the one", I'm sure you will look stunning in it. X

ThanksWelcome! This is a wonderful forum to plan your dream wedding...and get lots of great ideas and info!:welcome:
Thanks so much! I've already learnt a lot! Good luck with your plans x:welcome: Congratulations!!!! This group is amazing and you will find everything need here for your DW. Allie is such a wonderful help here to all of us, I think I've survived a few cliff dives thanks to her and the other ladies!! Anything you may need, just ask - someone has certainly been there/done that or has some type of advice to lend. Happy planning!! -
Thanks for your help! I haven't booked yet (as it's too far ahead to book in the UK at the moment) but we have pretty much got it down to between EDR & EDM so all karisma/el dorado help is muchly appreciated. XAllie is right on. Do you have your WC yet? They should be able to email tons of pricing info. If not feel free to ask here or send a private message -
Thanks so much Allie, I couldn't find a price on their website and I'm trying to work out my initial budget. Much easier having an idea rather than making prices up out of thin air! XFor us (Nov 2012), the rehearsal for hair & make up were $49 each, and it's $86 for each on the day-of. Then you add a service fee (18%) on top... So I did a hair rehearsal for me, and then day-of hairstyles for my mother & I. Hers was also the $86. hope that helps! -
Thanks a lot, your colour scheme & centre piece mock ups look lovely! I'm sure your wedding will be amazing no matter what you choose! I'm sure someone has answered previously but does anyone have a price estimate for wedding hair & make up at the el dorado resorts? XCONGRATS!!! WELCOME TO THE GROUP! Just be careful, I had 2 years to plan and alllll those ideas are hard to weed through.... making decisions are hard. Now with 4 months to go it's all coming down to actually picking things out... and that's much harder than I ever thought it would be... especially since my FI has said "anything you want"... it'd be way easier if he said "no, that's tacky ... or no, that's too expensive"... but noooo... he wants me to have the day just like I want it... sigh... and pinterest doesn't make things any easier. Everytime I think I've made up my mind, I find a new idea on there. Just look at all the centerpiece ideas I posted. -
Hi All, EDM is currently top of our wedding destination list just wondering if any brides who have been married there would share their experiences/ if they ave reviewed the resort anywhere? Thanks x

Hi all I am newly engaged and from the UK. My lovely partner asked me to marry him whilst on holiday over Christmas after 4 & 1/2 years together. We are looking to get married in Mexico in August 2015 (has to be summer as I am a teacher). Not 100% sure on a location yet (any hints greatly received) but current favs are the El Dorado hotels. Thanks to all the lovely brides on here who have posted so much helpful information for planning a destination wedding. Look forward to speaking to you all X

Hi I'm from merseyside and looking to get married in Mexico in summer 2015. Still currently looking at resorts but El Dorao Marma is currently our favourite. Not sure if you have previously visited the rui or not but we recently stayed at the riu Tequila just up the road so any questions on the beach/area or anything let me know!
