Hello All! I am getting married at the Cloisters/Atlantis on February 15, 2013. I am so happy to have come across this forum! We just got back from our site visit a couple of weeks ago which had its ups and downs. Our coordinator at the Atlantis, Faycita, is extremely disorganized and extremely frustrating to work with. Does anyone have a coordinator with whom they are having a good experience??? We are doing a plated dinner and our tasting was mediocre. The Nassau grouper was, however, phenomenal. I'm curious to know what kind of experiences others had? Has anyone come across any good tips for negotiating room rates or are they pretty strict in this regard? We are using Cacique for florals and design. Shawn and his team have been my saving grace. He is so professional and knowledgeable and very timely with his corresponce, which is extremely important to me. If anyone still needs floral/design, contact them immediately!! They are wonderful. Also, has anyone found a good videographer?? I got a quote from Troy Aitken for around $4500 which seems a little outrageous. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
