  1. So bad news, Litzy no longer works at ocean turquesa! Also if you want to do a trial run for your hair and make-up its $120 for each..... Anyone have a good experience with any of the other stylists? Help would be much appreciated!!!
  2. I'm getting married in 7 weeks!!! Woo hoo! What recommendations would anyone have on who I should get to do my hair at the salon on grounds? Also I'm looking at my options on bouquets and my colors are dark purple and bright blue like seen on the ribbons around the chairs. Can we change the color of a rose bouquet to purples? Or is is only pink?
  3. Just a little tip with photographers... Mine requires us to include them as guests so they can eat with us on site. so we decided to really concider them guests and book a 1 night stay for them at the hotel so we don't have an outside vendor fee... They're our guest. Hotel room for 2 was $200. Saved $300!
  4. Who had a great experience with their DJ?? Many of my guests will be mid 20's and early 30's and love to dance! I'm looking for a great professional who can play for our age group with out sending a few grandparents to bed early! haha! Any suggestions would be great! If you have negative remarks about DJ's let me know that too! Thanks! Erin
  5. Does anyone know if your guests have to book their rooms through the hotel or if they can use a travel agent/separate website? I haven't heard anything from Ana and need to know if we can bundle our rooms and flight through a different website since it's MUCH less expensive... All I got from Ana was that when we book our flight and hotel stay to send her a copy of the itinerary and then we would get started on other details. Confused! Help?

  7. Wedding photography is MOST important to me... One picture or photograph isn't just something to put into an album or hang on your wall. It is a moment frozen in time. A moment that when I look at it will take me back to the thoughts, the smells, and most importantly the FEELINGS and EMOTIONS that I had on the day that I will celebrate on the same day every year as the day I married the man that I love and hold dearest to me. Wedding photography to me isn't just taking a snap shot but holding a moment and experience still for all time. And that is why it is so important to me on my wedding day because I would love to relive and re experience these moments with my family, friends, and my future family of my own. Something to smile and say remember when... I hope my words have given an idea to you how deeply the wedding photography is for me on mine and Harrison's wedding day. Erin Docherty
  8. Question!: I am looking into the Romantic Package... And I asked Ana that instead of an indoor reception if we could have it outdoor on the lobby terrace. She told me "Dinner include indoor, if you wish to have outdoor, it will have an extra cost of 15usd per outdoor set up." The broken English has me a little confused... Do you think its $15 per person? or per table? or what? Help? Haha, I don't want to ask her again if it's obvious but I'm lost lol. Erin

  11. Hi, I'm Erin! I'm new to the thread and have breezed through about 100 pages! I am hoping to have a May 2013 wedding at OCT! I have recently e-mailed Ana requesting more info and am not sure how long it takes for her to reply since she has weddings every week. I hope you all can help me answer a few questions!! Do you have any recommendations for Photographers? Does OCT accommodate for rehearsal and rehearsal dinner or are these also an extra charge? I saw that to reserve the date for the wedding OCT charges a 20% deposit. 20% of the wedding cost? Would my guests and my fiance and I be able to book our hotel stays at a different time through a different lender or would OCT require us to book through them? Hope to hear back soon!
