  1. Hi Ladies! I am getting very close, we leave on 5/21 for our wedding on 5/25!! I have to admit I am getting very frustrated with Roxy as a wedding planner. I can't seem to get many answers out of her and she is out of the office a lot. I feel so ill-prepared to go there and I'm getting a little anxious. We are doing a 3pm wedding with a 1 hour cocktail hour and 2 hour reception. I'd like to start the cocktail hour at 5pm and do the dinner directly after at 6-8. This is one thing I can't get an answer on is what time I can plan for things to happen. We are doing the calypso band for the cocktail hour and then we are going to play our own music through dinner. I've heard that they charge you $150/hr to use their ipod dock. Does anyone know anything about that? Also, we are bringing mason jars with flowers for centerpieces and also name cards for seating and I've heard they are going to charge me at least $250 for "liability" reasons. That is outrageous! Has anyone heard that one? All of these things aside, we are SOO excited!!

  3. We are getting married the weekend before you, May 25th, and so far, no room upgrade. I have heard that if during your stay an upgrade becomes available, they will give it to you.

  5. Hey all! My name is Taylor and I have been browsing this site for awhile now! Everything is so helpful so far! Our wedding is May 25th 2013 at 3pm. I had to move back my phone appointment with the wedding coordinator so I am feeling slightly behind and not sure what steps I should be taking! We are looking to have about 40 people. I don't have a final count yet. My biggest thing is trying to decide the flow of the day. The wedding will be at 3 and then we will get a 30 minute cocktail reception. I would love to start a 2 hour reception later, around 6. Does anyone have any suggestions for this? Thanks all! Happy Thanksgiving!
