The moment we discovered TTD sessions, we immediately knew we HAD to do it. BUT not just with anyone, only with Del Sol Photography. Honestly, I can say my FI is more excited for this than our actual wedding...hahaha. They are incredibly unique and being from San Francisco where pristine beaches are severely lacking, we'd be the first of our friends and family to have these uniquely AMAZING photos! I've "liked" Del Sol on Facebook and am seriously in awe of every single new photo they post. They've even been incorporated into our daily conversations...haha! As much as I'm stoked about this, I do have 2 main questions/concerns: 1. I'd like to find another dress for TTD, something more flowy and maybe even a vibrant color. Any suggestions on material or colors that look good underwater in cenotes? 2. I'd say I'm a recreational swimmer/snorkeler/scuba diver (certified), however I wouldn't say I'm too comfortable with opening my eyes underwater. Hand me goggles or a mask and I'm golden...I'm sure that'll make my TTD photos really unique...haha. My concern is that I don't want my uneasyness to show in the photos, as I've seen others have. Additionally, I wear contacts which might be another reason why I'm afraid to open my eyes underwater. I've even contemplated getting LASIK before May 2013 to see if it'll help. My FI was most likely a fish in his past life so I'll look completely awkward next to him. My question is, do you have advice on how I can train myself to be more natural underwater? Or can any of you offer your experiences? Thanks! <3

Hi All! I'm excited to join this thread as a Grand Palladium Bride for May 2013! You all have been an abundance of resources and I'd like to thank you in advance for the future advice/suggestions/help as well! My FI and I have actually gone to the Grand Palladium 2 times now (My bday in Nov 2008, loved it so much that we went back 8 months later in May 2009 for our 3-year anniversary). Originally we were thinking of having our wedding at a similar resort that offered the same amenities as the GP offered but nothing really topped it, hence, it really was a no brainer to be able to share the GP experience w/ our closest friends and family so they can see exactly why we fell in love with it also! Now that we're set on the resort, the hard part is nailing down a date. Ideally, we wanted a Sat or Sun wedding to minimize the time our guests have to take off work, however, we heard through a TA that the GP only allows weekday weddings? Have any of you heard of this policy? Graciela mentioned they are still working on the 2013 packages, but I'm confused at how are others able to book their weddings in the beginning parts of 2013? Is it locked in as the 2012 packages? Many Thanks!

Hi All! First post here! I love seeing all the support the BDW community offers along with the fabulous resources! I too am a May 2013 bride! Unfortunately, the Grand Palladium Resort doesn't have their 2013 wedding packages out yet so we are unable to nail down a date. I seriously CANNOT wait till that date is confirmed so we can finally move forward as I'm already hearing family/friends telling us that they're getting other wedding invites on the same weekend already. EEK! I agree with TauruSmith with starting a new May 2013 planning thread. It'd be extremely helpful! I'd also like to congratulate everyone on their engagement/weddings! It's amazing to have a support system who is also in the same boat in planning a destination wedding especially since none of our immediate friends can offer advice nor have the experience. Thanks in advance!!
