Anyone find a cheap place to buy these in Canada??? Or anyone in the States want to go 50/50 on a set of 100 luggage tags and then mail me half?? Thanks!!
-
Those are a great deal on Etsy!!
@Speclkles The ones that I were looking at were the Rigid plastic - so hard cased rather then the vinyl - http://tags.idcardgroup.com/productdetails.aspx?item=1840-620
And these are $47.99 + $5.40 for the straps - Sooo, if you're interested.... I'd be interested in a split!! -
Hi everyone!! This site has completely inspired me - and my FI! (now that I know what that means!! haha) ,,, I was just gonna hop on a plane and get married... Didn't know all the fun things we could do leading up to it!!
So, I am TOTALLY in love with the Luggage tag gift... We are going to send them along with a brochure to get peeps all pumped up!! And then when we got there, I thought it would be nice to give them the ID badge holder to keep their stuff nice and dry!
But the thing is, I only need 50 of each - Not 100 .... And I was thinking there must be someone else out there in the same predicament who would also love to save some cash!
SOOOO My question is - anyone want to split the product and cost with me 50/50??
I've been shopping around and found the best price I can see for Rigid Clear Tags, Clear "6 plastic straps, Black Round Braided Laynards and Vertical Zip ID Bag
is on ID Card Group - http://www.idcardgroup.com/
For $113.39 US
Now.......... Problem is - I live in Canada and the shipping costs are $64... So, it would be awesome if one of my American neighbours wanted in on this!!
And if there are no takers.... Does anyone have any suggestions of how to do this... on a budget??
Thanks!!

I am a VERY Frugal bride... Love this post!! I'm trying to find cheap clear luggage tags... Any ideas?
-
Those are awesome! Inspirational!!... I'm trying to make luggage tags right now - and searching to buy the plastic - Where did you find these?? I'm only finding that you can buy 100 at a time... Bit pricey!

I was just sent the info for the resort photographer - This is the website:
And I'm attaching their price guide, just in case anyone was waiting for it!
-
Centre pieces are definitely extra... And they seem to be QUITE expensive... Especially floral! I'm going to bring my own... thinking some sort of candle arrangement... If you're on the beach - Candles may be difficult with the wind...
I'm getting the Divine Package - so getting the 24 photos that are included and the video - But am still deciding on what Photographer to use... But, don't think I'll be using the resort one... there's better out there with similar prices...
-
I think the only flowers that come with the Divine package in way of decoration are the arrangement for the sweetheart table for the reception - which they said could be moved to the table for the ceremony... I think that's it though!
I'm wondering what the Carnival Terrace is like too...
-
I've just finished reading ALL of these posts... It was like an epic drama - Some ending well, others unfortunately not so well.... BUT, I am totally grateful to be able to hear all your stories and get SOOO much information...
My wedding is in about 7 months in Dominican. I have yet to try on any dresses and I live in Korea - land of the small... I'm heading out in 2 weeks on a dress trying on mission... But, from what I've heard from others and what I've seen through windows - I don't think I will fit or like the options...
I have a few ideas in mind of the styles I like, but thought I'd better try SOMETHING on before ordering...
Anyways, I'm going to be watching this closely... And will get back to you when I know something!! haha
THanks again everyone!!!
-
You look ABSOLUTELY fabulous in that dress!!! Gorgeous pics too!!
-
Haha... Ignore me - Read your previous posts! Well, look I'm now 3 posts towards my 150!! haha
-
Sorry, I'm new here - How do I get "required permission" to look at your templates?
-

@NowBride2013 - I had read that somewhere too about Castaways not being available anymore... Grrr... They hadn't mentioned that to me - I have another e-mail sent...
Well, poolside it is then! I guess that limits the number of decorations that I will need ... I think I saw some lattice overhangs in some pictures... I will just decorate them and leave it at that!
Maybe floating candles in the pool instead? Anyone heard any rules about those?

Honestly, I would be completely LOST without this website!! It seems that we are all able to get a few tidbits from here and there and then can share on here... SOOO, that being said I just (finally) got an email from the WC Silvia ... And its funny - because the questions I asked 3 weeks ago are not the questions on my mind now! But... Thought I'd share in case any of you had the same questions...
The centre piece for the sweetheart table for the reception CAN be used at the ceremony - But she warned me that they are fragile and and moving them can cause damage...
Floating paper lanterns are permitted - But only depending on the wind
Round tables are included in the package, but can be replaced with rectangular ones for the wedding party.
Chinese lanterns are permitted, but that I should be advised that they have no tools (?) to hang them overhead...
That last one got me a bit - She suggested hooks, like the ones along the aisle in the ceremony... Not sure she understand the look I was going for... I thought Castaways looked like a PERFECT spot for hanging chinese lanterns.... Can anyone confirm this before I buy 100 lanterns?? Already have my bridesmaids on the Pomander making! haha

@NowBride2013 - Our party will be arriving Jan 22 and leaving Jan 29 ... Then my FI and I will be heading to New Zealand (where he's from) for a few weeks... We will definitely see you there!! We may be the rowdy ones... I apologize in advance!
OK, so just so I get this straight... The resort DJ and equipment ended up costing $1100 for 4 hours (@jbmarch2012)
And DJ Mannia is going to be $1100 for 4 hours with one DJ - including his vendor fee (@Skygirl)
EEK - (I say this a lot!!) Thought this destination thing was meant to be CHEAPER!! haha
I may just pay for the equipment and get a friend to do the announcing of things... Already asked her to organize music...

Thanks SOOO much Susan!!
Very helpful information! I just emailed both of those photographers, and I guess I will just wait and see... I also wrote back to Phil to see if maybe we could have a shorter session or something to cut down on the price - But I think that was just wishful thinking haha... The more I think about it though, the more I think something else may need to be cut to get an amazing photographer...Perhaps the hubbies ring!! haha Its important!
Anyways, yes it seems that I will be the first... Yet, I feel so behind on things... We live in Korea, so its been even a bit extra difficult getting things done (like finding a dress - Aahhhh!)... But like you said - I'm sure it will all come together in the end!!
Happy Planning!! And thanks again!!

@NowBride2013 - Hi! I'm getting married 2 days after you!! I have been trying to get answers about the dj as well... I've been dealing with Sylvia - But haven't heard from her in a few weeks... If I hear anything I will let you know!
-
Hi girls! I'm getting married in January! Been having the same problem as everyone else it seems with getting a response... I've been dealing with Silvia, and when she does respond - she's very thorough!
I'm worried right now about the timing... Having a beach reception in the evening - but, I would like the party to last longer then till 10pm (which I read was the latest for the poolside reception) ... But, also don't want to spend the EXTRAORDINARY fees to stay longer... And $900 for the DJ??? EEK! SOOooo may switch it up to Castaways... I DON'T KNOW - and its hard not getting any communication...
Haha... I'm usually the laid back one on here... But, its hard to get planning when you don't know where you will be!!
Ooohhh And LOVE Phil's work!! Soooo beautiful!! If I can fit that into the budget.... He will be there - But, he's quoted me for $2600 ... Bit steep!
Anyways - This is a great place to figure things out! Good luck ladies!!

Great question!! I saw that someone mentioned that silk petals are ok?? Could anyone confirm? That would save A LOT! I was thinking of buying them for throwing... Anyone done this? 500 petals in a bag? How many bags would I need for a flower girl and 40 peeps to toss some?? Thanks for the help!!
P.S Haven't heard back from Silvia in 2 weeks!

Hi there, Been watching for a while.... but thought I'd get in now that we are up to December!! My wedding is booked for Jan 26/2013! We are having a wedding with a poolside ceremony! Our colours are fuchsia, black and white damask.... Im very excited - but incredibly overwhelmed... I live overseas(Korea) - so organizing is seeming VERY difficult!! Just wanted to introduce myself! Good luck!
what are you getting your fiance for a wedding gift?
in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags

I love all these ideas!! I'm getting my fiancee a silver guitar pick off of Etsy, that says "I Pick you" and our wedding date... and then I'm also getting him a gift certificate to get a tattoo for when we get back to his home in New Zealand after the wedding!! (He's been talking about getting one forever!!)
