We were trying to choose between the same hotels, and ended up selecting The Royal Playa. We loved that it was adults only, and its located right in the middle of Playa del Carmen, so our guests can easily walk into town for restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. No cabs required. We did a site inspection a few months ago and we are really happy with our decision, although there have been some "extra" costs in the wedding we didn't exactly plan for. Although it seems that may have been the case at most any all-inclusive property we would have chosen. Our wedding is in 2 weeks!
