My mother used to say to me "Time goes by in a blink of an eye-especially in good times!" She was right ( as mom's usually are ). I remember being a little girl and going through my mothers wedding albums with my two sisters and exclaiming over each of those moments, captured forever. I would imagine my own wedding day, what I would wear and how my groom would look at me the same way my father looked at my mother. Last summer I did it again, this time with my mother after she was diagnosed with ALS. We looked through her albums, I pointed out my favorites pictures and this time, it was a little more poignant because we both knew she wouldn't be there on my special day. She said to me "Time goes by in a blink of an eye- especially in good times like these" and she pointed at her photos. How is photography important to me on my wedding day and why? It captures the true spirit of the day and immortalizes these images in time - the butterflies, the first moments as man and wife, the eyes meeting across a crowded room as well as the shared joy and laughter of loved ones around you. Those moments are captured forever to be shared with generations to come, reminding us all of the important things in life - family, faith and, of course, LOVE!!
