About becky0520

  1. I've uploaded the photos from the amazing Citalli Rico of Clauida Photo. She shot our welcome BBQ along with our ceremony and reception.

  3. I am doing two long tables and was told that each can hold up to 30 people. My outside wedding coordinator estimated that each table would be approx. 7 meters, but I do not have a final confirmation. I had the hotel handle the runners.
  4. The outside coordinator I hired to work with the hotel told me that the Now Sapphire uses CICSA Logistics as a shipping broker. I contacted Gabriel and worked with Karla from his team. She send me an invoice to fill out with the contents of the boxes, weight, and measurements. You follow the instructions they provide to you which includes shipping to one of their warehouses. CICSA then ships the boxes to Mexico. They ask that your boxes arrive at their warehouse (I shipped to Miami) at least 15 days before your event. My boxes arrived in Miami last Wednesday and yesterday they cleared customs! The boxes are then delivered to Now att Weddings Department. CICSA gave me an estimate and I should be getting an invoice any day now. It was not cheap, but because I was already carrying my dress and we were packing for three weeks I did not want to also schlep favors and decor. Spending the money was worthwhile to me. Gabriel is the account manager at CICSA for the Now Sapphire. Feel free to contact him directly. He and Karla are extremely quick at responding, patient and communicative. 6. We worked through a customs broker that the hotel uses. It was not the cheapest option to send our favors, but as long as they are there when we arrive on June 29th, I'll feel like it was worth it. We also had trouble picking favors that would pass customs and be useful and easy to carry home. We ended up doing plastic logo'd beverage cups from Customink, Bottle Coolers that flatten with our logo (used a promotional agency), coral (resin) bottle stoppers (from weddingstar.com), pepto, advil, altoids, sunscreen and lip balm (all from amazon.com). We are also using coral (resin) place card holders and straw fans as decor that guests can bring home.
  7. Thanks for posting such a great review. We are getting married on July 2nd at the Now Sapphire and are as well, only using the Tequila Terrace. I also did not want to deal with the sand and I wanted to hem my dress for wedges. It appears that your ceremony was under a cover. Were all of the seats in the shade? Our ceremony is at 5 and I am concerned about the sun. Thanks again and congratulations!
  8. Hi. I am getting married in Mexico the last week of June and was wondering if you had any trouble shipping trial size beauty products? I would like to include after sun lotion and sunscreen, but would hate to spend the money and get stuck in customs. We already purchased single serve size pain reliever and pepto. ALso, we're shipping some stuff ahead of time. Is it better to walk through customs with the beauty products rather then send ahead? Thank you!
  9. Hi Joda, Stunning photos! I am getting married at the Now Sapphire on July 2nd and also am having a long table. We are going to also use a burlap runner, but have not been able to get the table measurements. Did you order them yourself or did the hotel take care of that? Thank you!!
  10. I'm waiting as well. Tammy has a San Francisco area code. Do you think this webinar is for noon PST?
  11. I'm waiting online for the webinar to start. Was it PST or EST 12noon?
  12. Has anyone asked about Chinese Lanterns? I'd like to light and send them off after our reception, but have not heard back from the resort yet. Thanks!
  13. Amazing July 2, 2012 Wedding

Pros: On-site planners, size of resort, pool
Cons: Food was decent, but not great, Floors were slippery, Not much to do at night
We were married at the Now Sapphire on July 2, 2012. While we never visited beforehand, I did a ton of research. For what we were looking for, the Now Sapphire exceeded our expectations. Our ceremony and reception was held on the Tequila Terrace. I did not want to worry about the sand and I wanted to wear wedges, so we did both on the terrace. We had 54 guests and it was not crowded at all. We started the wedding at 6 and the sun was just starting to set. It was a perfect night.     A few
