Aww thank you Cinnagirl. Forest is so pretty too and I think the green backgroudn will makes everything look so pretty. I saved some travel inspiration on my Pinterest that you can check out, http://pinterest.com/iqtsarah/photo-travel-theme/

Hope you had an amazing wedding and thank you for sharing!

    Hi Arch713,

Thank you so much. I had a travel blog and a lot and I love to travel too. So my photographer gave me an idea to do something more like a travel theme. It was pretty cute idea. As for my wedding a lot things got moved and changed due to the weather. It was pouring all day and I almost couldn't have my ceremony on the beach. They push back and waited an hour to set up the ceremony , and luckily rain stop right before my ceremony and I got to have a ceremony on the beach. However the cocktail hour and reception all got moved indoor instead of the beach and garden. But it was still the best day of my life beacuse i got married to the man I love. :)

Here is a picture of the reception.

I have heard from numerous past brides that had people in their wedding party that they really did not want and after the wedding - they had regrets.

I really think you only really want to have people you truly want to stand up with/for you. In the event they cannot be there, I really don't think other people can fill those shoes of who you would really want. Also, I think those people would realize that they are on in the bridal party because the people you really wanted couldn't make it.

Overall, if what you truly want can't work - don't settle.

    Good Luck to you!

I agree with some of the other comments too. After all it's your big day and when it come down to it's all about you and him. My situation was a little bit different than yours. We have 16 people at our wedding and only 3 of them are my husband's friend. My husband's parent can't make it to Mexico from China. And his' best man bail out on us last minute with lame excuse, but the groom's man step up (one man short for all the photos). However he was so happy during the wedding trip and nothing really matter to him on our special day (even though it was raining and a lot plan got changed but wedding still goes on). Afterall it's all about you and your fiance.

Best of everything and don't stress too much :)

  4. I just got back from my wedding at Riviera Maya and I finally had some time to start sharing all my photos and experience.

I enjoy photography a lot, so I was concerned about hiring a photographer down there or though the resort. After much debate and research on photographers, I went with the option of hiring Laura Ivanova from the state and bring her down to Mexico with us.

Laura is a such amazing photographer to work with. I love the way she sees and captures us through her eyes. After seeing our NYC travel theme engagement photos, we couldn't have been happier with our choice and the result. So now I'm looking forward to my wedding photos. If you're looking for a wedding photographer please check out her beautiful works on http://www.lauraivanovablog.com. I also want to thank my make-up artist Jina Yoon at JAC Beauty. She turned me into a model!

Thank god I'm not having a "normal" wedding - having to pick a florist, a caterer, a cake, etc. would be too much for me to handle!! LOL

    Hi Faith,

You got plenty of times then :). I didn't start designing my wedding invite until March ahah and my wedding was in May (I just got back from Riviera Maya). You can take you're time with all the detail stuff. Are you bringing your own photographer?

If I may ask, what did you highlight on your 'packing list' card?

    Beautiful job again!

    Hi Arch 713,

These are beautiful.. how did you do these? Sorry im not a crafty person and have no idea what a letterpress is

also where did you get the rhinestone rings and are they expensive?

    Hi Ali,
Thank you so much! Letterpress is a relief printing technique using a press which raised the surface of the type. I checked the prices at couple printing shops and 25 sets of invites (4 cards each set) it's going to cost me more then $1200.00. I didn't want to spent that much on the invites so I went DIY way.
I follow a tutorial from here http://www.boxcarpress.com/us/blog/2009/11/ and ordered a plate from them by sending in my design.

I brought the press and inks from amazon  http://www.amazon.com/Lifestyle-Crafts-Letterpress-Combo-Epic/dp/B002WZLI7U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1335498620&sr=8-1

There's two place I got the rhinestone from:
    http://www.haitrim.com/ ($3.00 each)
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005ZA882C/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00 ($11.99 for 12)

    Papers: http://www.paperpresentation.com
    I hope this help. :)
    Best,
    Sarah
