Thanks for the reply! Well I did but am not sure they are coming now....so I am looking into my options...I may go with a basic photography package at the resort but don't wanna spend a ton of cash!

Hello Everyone! We are getting married on February 6th 2013 at 11am on the beach with a dinner reception at the restaurant. We are having an AHR in March. We have about 30 guests coming down south. Just curious what people are doing for photographers? I do not want to get a private one, I was thinking of using the resort one...thoughts? Thanks! Breezybride2013

Hi there! Just wondering if someone can point me in the right direction...We are getting married in February 2013 in Dominican. I have three resorts picked out: Barcelo Bavaro Palace, Melia Caribe and Majestic Elegance I am working with a great travel agent who is getting us a group rate. I am wondering how the wedding packages work? I know some come with the hotel, but I hear this happens when you book a regular rate and not a group rate... Also, I know Air Transat has wedding packages but these do not apply to all hotels Should i just be dealing with the wedding coordinators at each hotel directly to find out the pricing of their packages? I also don't want an expensive package, something basic...no reception.. Any help is greatly appreciated! Natalie

Hi Everyone! I am new to this site. We got engaged on Feb 6, 2012 and plan on having our wedding on our 10 year anniversary Feb 6, 2013! After reading people's posts, I feel a little behind! Or that I have to hurry ?! haha I am having trouble finding a travel agent in town here who cares about booking a destination wedding..Once i get it all booked I think I'll feel much better and can actually start planning things!
