We are in the same dilemma... We get married 9/1 at Playacar Palace and definitely want the symbolic (spiritual) part, but since that isn't recognized as a legal ceremony, our resort tells us we either have to get the legal part done before we leave the U.S., or forego the spiritual part. My fiancé doesn't want to do the legal part before we leave (and I'm respecting this, too... He has also been giving of letting me choose everything!). I can't imagine not having the spiritual part. I don't want it to feel strange being translated from Spanish... And with no minister present!!! Has anyone heard if you can pay extra to do both??I know we can't be the only couple who prefers this!!?? Any feedback is appreciated!

Any words of wisdom on how to get the outside photographer? We want to use Blue Lens Caribe, but havent had our planning meeting yet with stateside coordinator (It's next Tuesday). How did you approach this, sharkyak?

Hi Kristyn! I just sent you a friend request to see your pictures-- My name is Joleen-- just so you don't wonder about the strange person requesting a friend add on FB! We get married at PP on 9/1 and will be hiring a professional photographer (outside of the resort). We havent jumped that hurdle of approval from them yet with an outside vendor, but I'm curious to see the work your photographer did. Its difficult to really know who is good, just by looking at a website alone. I'll have to go back and read the earlier posts for who you had taking your pictures... I'm excited for you guys that you are happy with the results-- it's such a huge & important part of the big day!! Thank you for sharing
