  1. I had sewn in cups and I am so happy that I did. I did not have to worry about fiddling with a bra once I slipped my dress on and I also did not have to worry about it showing. Congrats! Eva
  2. We stayed in the premium section because we were upgraded when we got there and so were some of our guests. I think that the best part of the premium section was the location. The building is on the farthest side of the resort so you don't get all of the noise in between buildings because there are no hallways. We were given amazing service there. We had a swim up suite but the sun does not shine on that side of the building so we did not hang out in the pool there. We did however use our hot tub outside almost everyday. There is also a section on the beach that is for premium guests only which really benefited us because it is right by the volleyball court which we used everyday and the waitress Nancy was able to make us a cabana bed or allow us to move the chairs over in front of the volleyball court. The thing that I can recommend is asking to get upgraded when you arrive if you dont book the premium section. Oh and you dont have to pay for Le Chique if you are staying in the premium section. I hope you have an amazing time! Congrats! Eva
  3. Our ttd was on Saturday as well and we left Sunday morning. Because we also had pics on the beach the sun did a very good job of drying the dress. The dress was still damp when we got back to the resort so I just hung it up and kept our patio door open and the breeze completely dried it before we left on Sunday morning. And yes the dress was totally trashed because a lot of the stitching ripped open but I still wanted to keep it so I brought it home and hung it up in the bag in the basement. If I even attempted to clean it I think it would really fall apart. Eva
  4. Did not realize I did the picture the wrong way Just wanted to share of my trash the dress photos Eva
  5. I heard about these sand fleas as well and I was so nervous especially when I got there and I looked at all of the people laying on the beach and their legs were covered in these bites. Anytime we were on the beach at night I wore long pants or a long dress and so I had no problems being bitten. However, all of my guests who wore shorts at night got bitten up pretty bad. You do have to be diligent about the bug spray or wear long pants.
  6. Hello Ladies! We just got home from our wedding week on Sunday and I cannot say enough how happy I was with how everything went at Azul Sensatori. We had a small group of people that were there with us and everything went fantastically! We got married on the Sky Deck and had our private reception at Spoon. The food was absolutely delicious and all of our guests were ranting and raving at how good it was. I read on here a bunch of times that the cake wasnt that great but I honestly thought it was one of the best cakes I have ever had in my life. We went with a non traditional flavor of strawberry cake with strawberry filling (I had read another bride somewhere say that she had a tasting and it was delicious, she was so right!) I am going to post a few pics here and then I will do a full review.
  7. Thank you ladies. I think that is what we will end up doing. I just didnt want to be running around in my dress looking for a place for us to party the night away
  8. Hi Everyone! We will not have a lot of guests at our wedding (20ish) so we were going to do a cocktail party between the ceremony and the dinner we will have at Spoons so that we can take pictures and everyone can have a few drinks to relax. My question is what can we do after dinner? And does Spoons allow us to play any music or will it be dead silent in there? Does anyone know if there are places that will be open that we can move our party to or do you have another suggestion? Eva

  10. Thank you so much for the info on Spoons, I very much appreciate it. What time are you all having your ceremony? Because we are going in January I dont want the sun to set too early for pictures. I was thinking 3 pm? Eva
  11. Those invite are gorgeous!!! I am hoping that you all can give me some advice. First off, my fiance and I have been together 14 years (since we were 16) and I never thought this day would come so I am almost intimidated and freaked out by it. We are not the traditional couple at all. We are only having roughly 15-20 guests at the wedding since we will be doing a big party at our house in May when the weather is nice in Chicago. Here are some questions that I have: Did anyone get married at the Sky Deck? If so what were the costs associated with that and did you find it to be well worth it as opposed to the beach location? Has anyone had their reception at Spoons? What are the menus like for that? Do you choose your own menu? We are pretty sure we are going to hire Ivan Luckie (I am totally in love with his work) has anyone here had experience with him at this resort? Thank you so much for any help and wisdom you can lend to me. Eva
  12. Hi Everyone! I am totally new here today and I am so excited and have a few questions. Does anyone have any pics of the sky wedding at Azul Sensatori? It is our number one choice for our December 2012 wedding. This place looks amazing and I cannot wait to finally get there. We are actually thinking about going down in May just to scope it out. Thanks so much! Eva
