  1. Hello there everyone!! This is Lisa from Edmonton Canada and Im getting married December 15th, 2012 @ the resort. Would love to see your wedding pics from your wedding at the GBP and if anyone has a list that they used to buy stuff before they went? Finding it a little overwhelming. Im the type of woman that is visual, can't just picture it. Can anyone help?
  2. Hi there, it would be nice to chat with anyone that is getting married during this time, as we could perhaps meet up for a congratulatory drink! Perhaps give each other tips and advice of ideas, etc.. We are doing our wedding just like alot of other weddings, the different blues, sand color, white and silver. We'll be bringing our own decorations as I looked into renting them from Tai Florists. They charge like $40 something just for a vase with some small decorations and a few flowers in it. Even if I pay the extra $50.00 for a luggage bag that's cheaper than renting. We aren't having our supper reception at the resort. I thought going off the resort might be nice to switch it up. PLUS, im cheap and thrifty, I don't have a lot of $$$ to put out for a band so the other resort that we are going to has a band playing from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.. They don't allow children which sucks, but .... We booked supper starting at 7:00 p.m. so during our meal we can hear the entertainment that is playing (hehehehe). Was wondering if someone else was doing their wedding colors the same as myself, perhaps we could divide up the decorations and each other use them???? Just a suggestion. If anyone else has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Lisa (Edmonton, Canada)
  3. Hi there, I too am getting married at the GBP but not until December. Im very curious, I was told we only have two choices for the reception supper venue/restaurants. Id love to rent out the gazebo for supper, did you find out if you could and how much??? We are only having 13 people so we'd like something romantic and intimate, lights, globes, candles, tool, etc. but I was told they don't provide that stuff. Are you decorating or just having a very simple wedding??? Hope you don't mind with the questions but quite frankly am very confused over having a destination wedding!!! Thank you, sincerely Lisa

  5. Hello there, if ANYONE could please please please help with information on getting married at the Gran Bahia Principe in Runaway Bay, it would be greatly appreciated. I thought, ooooh a destination wedding is the way to go, they plan everything, you just show up - YA RIGHT!! We'd like the gazebo but id like lanterns, lights, flowers but my coordinator told me i hv to bring the lanterns myself!!! Seriously, is this true??? I have questions that I can't seem to get answered and don't know where to find them. My coordinator tells me that we can only have our supper/reception at one of two restaurants. That isn't something we are wanting, we are looking for a beach supper with torches and lanterns and lights. Or a very intimate room with just our family, not everyone from the hotel. This is our second marriage so its just going to be parents, our kids and us, 13 in total. I have no clue, how do i book for hair and makeup as well as a photographer and video??????? Does the hotel provide this and if so do they hv any pictures of their work??? I dont do well with stress to begin with, so all of this is quite overwhelming.   6. PLEASE HELP - we too are getting married in December of this year (2012). I also am upset and confused with the whole reception thing. There are only 13 of us going so we would like a intimate reception with decorations but they are telling me we have one of two choices of restaurants. What did you end up doing if you don't mind me asking?
