  1. Yes, it's right on the beach, lots of chairs . For the wedding ceremony options you can have a beach, gazebo or spa location wedding.
  2. This is what I received by email once I reserved my time slots: To confirm any time slot, a USD300.00 deposit is required. In order to confirm, please see attached for the following documents -Wedding Agreement Form -Credit Card Authorization Form If decided, please scan and send the following: - Copy of back and front of credit card - Copy of card holder’s photo ID Hope that helps.
  3. I spoke with Shaniece Morris at the resort. I chose my locations for the ceremony and private reception and then she emailed me a form to print out and complete. One of the pages was a credit card authorization for the deposit of $350 (i think that was the amount). Never was I asked to wire funds. Unless something has changed?? I would speak with her about paying by Visa so that the payment is secure, and make sure to ask her to send you the paperwork. Let me know how it goes!
  4. Hi there. I would NOT wire money to a bank in Miami. I did mine by credit card, which is the safest way. Who have you been dealing with that requested you send the deposit to a bank in Miami?
  5. I am also looking in the Toronto area with no luck. Went to Tommy Bahama on the weekend, linen shirts were $126 and pants $156. A little much I think.
  6. I booked True Colours Photography. They are the resorts photographers, so you wont have to pay any guest fees to get them onto the resort. I can forward you their pricing list if you want? Just let me know. My budget was the same, but $1,000 doesnt get you very much. I ended up going with 2 hours of photography and all edited images on CD for $900. I figured if we at least had the ceremony and after ceremony pics covered it would be okay. Our wedding is costing a lot too. I have 50 ppl so far confirmed, so technically thats $20 pp for the ceremony and at least $45pp for the private dinner reception. Plus the cost of the actual ceremony package, plus entertainment at the ceremony and reception, plus additional flowers for bm and gm, etc. Add your trip and dress in there and tt all adds up! Let me know if you have any other questions!
  7. Hi! Yes, I would definitely recommend the filet. Out of all of the all inclusives my FI and I have been too, the food at this one was by far the best. I wouldnt hesitate to order that for your guests, and even have it rare. The meat is just like meat you would get back home. We enjoyed the steak at the Creole and Bubba's restuarants, and we love our steak and are pretty picky! Congrats on booking your wedding!
  8. We've booked April 23, 2013 4pm at the gazebo. How about you??
  9. We booked April 23, 2013 4pm at the cliff to gazebo! How about you??
  10. Hi ladies! So sorry for the late reply. I have been very very very busy lately and completely forgot about my earlier post. I booked my group travel rates through selloffvacations.com where we all got a great deal. And I have been dealing with the resort directly for my wedding details. I emailed the resort, not kidding you, 5 times with no response. I finally called and spoke with Shaniece Morris. She booked me in the very last 4pm time slot available the week of April 20th-April 27th. I am so glad that I called instead of waiting or else I would have been stuck with a morning wedding :s Anyways. I have booked the cliff top gazebo, Tuesday April 23, 2013 at 4pm. I have also booked the Blue Lagoon for a private dinner reception afterwards. The cost is $45/per person for the private dinner reception, and go up from there. I have attached the menu list for you all to take a look. I have booked with True Colours Photography, who is the resorts photographer. If you email them, they will send you their rates. I decided to hire them because I did want some professional photos taken. For all of you decidingwhere to have your private reception, I have seenboth Posiedon and Blue Lagoon as I was at the resort 2 years ago. Posiedon is quite a walk down hill near the beach, but very private. It has more of a beach house/cottage feel to it. The Blue Lagoon looks over the infitinity pool and the ocean. Sunsets are amazing for both locations. I chose the Blue Lagoon because it is a little fancier. Shanience told me that my wedding coordinator wouldn't be assigned to me until 2 months before the wedding. So I have been asking her a lot of questions and bugging her about a lot of things. Sometimes I won't get a response for a week, but she always gets back to me. I'm trying not to worry too much about it, hopefully everything will work out as planned! Any questions, just let me know Amanda GrandPalladiumMenus- 2013[1].pdf
  11. Hi ladies. I need some help! I have just booked my group to go to the GPLH next April 2013, and am very concerned because no one at the resort is responding to my ceremony/reception request. Did anyone call someone at the resport directly? Does anyone have a contact name and phone number? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would hate to have all of my friends and family give in their deposits and not even be able to have my wedding that week!! Thanks in advance
  12. Thanks so much Vancity Bride and Charlene87! What a great help! I wonder how far in advance I should be booking the ceremony and reception if I am planning on April 2013!?! Amanda
  13. Hi! I'm a newbie as well! I am planning on getting married in April of 2013 at the Grand Palladium. Do you know if the the cost advertised on the website per wedding package includes the reception dinner? I know it says there is a charge of $20/guest after 8 guests. Is this just for the ceremony and the reception is an additional charge for dinner, etc? Any help would be great! Thanks!
  14. Hi ladies! My fiance and I are planning on getting married at the Grand Palladium Jamaica in April 2013. I was hoping you all could help me out and clarify some costs, etc. as it is not really clear on the website options. Is there an additional charge for dinner on top of the wedding package prices that are advertised online? It says that the price includes up to 8 guests, and then there is an additional $20 charge per guest after that. Is this just for the ceremony, and the dinner is an additional cost per guest after? As well, I read on some forums that there is also an additional lump sum cost to rent out the restaurants for the reception. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Amanda
