Hi there! I know exactly what you mean. I agree that civil wedding is more work, and more expensive, with the blood test and translations of docs. We decided to sign at the court of justice US, and do the symbolic ceremony in Mexico. I know it's not ideal, but I figure we'll be busy running around over there, so the less things to do, the better! =). Good luck!

Hi Jules! I am in the same boat! I am deciding between Riviera Maya vs Dominican Republic. (Leaning toward Mexico). So many resorts to choose form! Hopefully I'll have a manageable list of locations pretty soon!

Hello everyone! I am planning a destination wedding in Riviera Maya or possibly Dominican republic next year. I am so glad I found this website. It is an excellent resource. Thank you! I am a bit overwhelmed, in deciding a location..there are just so many resorts to choose form!! Hopefully I can narrow down to a manageable list.
