  1. I agree with the rest of the ladies, in fact I have never been to a wedding where I had to pay for dinner.....are these common???
  2. Thank for those that figured out the magic number!! (haha I'm almost there...hence this post!!)
  3. Hi, I have tried looking thru the FAQs and can't find the answer I am looking for - if I have missed it somewhere I am sorry and apperciate a nudge in the right direction!! I was just wondering why it will allow me to post sometimes and then others it says that because I am a new member that my post is being held for moderation. Thanks
  4. I agree - I am not following all the proper rules, but at the same time my future mother-in-law is fighting me on not being traditional (which makes it difficult at times)!! HAHA who said going away to get married is easier then getting married at home??!!!
  5. (sorry for the late reply) We knew that a lot of his family would be coming, but a lot of mine wwon't be (bc a lot of them are older), so I have decided to send out invtations for both the DW and the AHR in the New Year. Our travel agent called those who put deposits down to remind them to make their final payment so that saved me a lot of hassale!! I figure sending out the invites in the New Year also gives people who didn't already book, a chance to book a last minute deal.
  6. Thank you sooooo much!!! When you said you provided the hot pink material - is it the material in this picture or the material that is wrapped around the flowers (everyones)? Btw, gorgeous wedding photo teasers!!! Looks like you had a great day!!!
  7. I hear you ladies!! If anyone of you has had this emailed to them, could you please email it to me? [email protected] THANK YOU!!!
  8. I am sorry for my many posts!! Just one last thing, does anyone have some photos have what their ceramony decorations looked like at the Akumal Beach location?? I would LOVE to see what it looks like with some different options!! (am I the only one that gets frustrated that I can't see pictures all the time????!!!) Thanks Ariel
  9. Crystal, Thank you for putting all of that into your review!! It was great to read about all the details - LOL makes it easier when planning my own!! Thanks for the tip about the cd for the wedding! Just one question: was it extra for the rehearsal dinner that night before?
  10. Marina, We are going to be at the Coba April 22-29, 2012!! It’s so exciting!! I have heard nothing but great things about all the resorts from friends who have been to all three! Ariel
  11. Hello, I am having a huge dilemma right now with deciding when to send out our wedding invites. We are getting married in Mexico at the end of April 2012, we sent out STD in July with all the information for booking the resort and we have people who have already booked (38 people now going), but I am unsure when I should send out our invites: 1) do I send them now (as the final payment is due November 30) or 2) do I send them out a couple of months before the wedding? I am also unsure if I should send out the invites to our wedding with three options: 1) going to Mexico; 2) will be at our AHR and 3) won’t be attending either – these options would be for our family and friends that we are inviting to our wedding and our AHR, but I wasn’t sure if it was too far in advance to expect replies back for our AHR. We are planning on sending out an informal invite for our AHR to everyone else who wasn’t invited to the wedding, which we will be sending out 6 weeks before the AHR. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
  12. This is awesome!!! I hope you don't mind if I borrow this idea!! I am finding more and more that the whole getting married down south is not as easy as people make it out to be haha!! Maybe it's jsut me thou!
  13. That's what I figured.....o well. LOL guess I can't expect too much, it's just his side of the family is really about food so I was trying to be accomadating, but you are right - it is only one meal!! Thanks
  14. Just wondering if the people who had their dinner by the pool - did you have the min of 50 people? If you don't mind me asking, what was the price for doing this? Also, if your dinner was poolisde was it one of the "theme" dinners? Thanks
  15. Hello Everyone! I am getting married at the GBP Coba April 26, 2012 and was wondering if anyone could let me know information about their dinner choices??? We will be having around 30 people going and the WC Maria has said that with that many people we can only choose one starter, one entree and one dessert.....or have a theme dinner for 30 people that would cost $83/person - personally i don't want to be responsible for picking what everyone will be eating (I would rather pick a few and then the guests pick what they want out of my selection).
  16. Hello All, My fiance and I are getting married in Mexico at the Gran Bahia Principe Coba in April 2012. I have been reading so many things on this site (all super helpful), but am still undecided about a few things and would appericate some advice (that isn't from my mother or soon to be mother in law): 1) wedding on the beach or not? 2) restaurant dinner or theme dinner? 2) do we go with a reception after dinner or just head out to the disco? Thanks, Ariel
