I brought in MVP to my hair & makeup which included a trial the day before my wedding. I was prepared to pay the $90.00USD fee for both days but ended up lucking out and we weren't charged the day pass, neither was the vendor.
Be prepared to pay the fee but you never know you might luck out like we did!

Both dresses are gorgeous! Are you opposed to using both? One for the ceremony the other for the reception. Or even using one for a TTD or day after session?

Some of our guests booked in advance and I would recommend it. We didn't book in advance and were unable to make any reservations earlier than midnight. We ended up taking to Jazmin about it and she made a couple for us that were for 10:00pm.

The fans were cute and of a decent quality.

I found some linen items at Le Chateau when we were looking. I'm from Edmonton and a few mens stores here had them like Colony Clothing in West Edmonton Mall.

I'm looking for some advice on where to buy men's linen pants and dress shirts. I went to the obvious choice ... Tommy Bahama ... and of course I fell in love with an outfit, but it is waaaaay too much money for our budget. I'm talkin' $300 for each groomsmen. I can't ask them to spend that much. So, I'm looking for other ideas? I know we are also limited in terms of the time of year to buy this kind of thing due to our seasons, so I'm getting antzy. We are getting married next May and I don't want to leave it to the last minute!

We had separate song for the signing. We did the symbolic ceremony and had 4 ppl including my hubby and I sign the certificate. It didn’t take very long but long enough that if we had one song for the signing and recessional, we probably would have ran out of music. If you are doing a legal ceremony, it’s my impression that the signing takes quite a bit longer than the symbolic.

I emailed the pastor and the sample ceremony that he sent me has the signing of the ceremony as the last part of the ceremony. Did you have one song for the signing and then start a new song as you walked back down the aisle? Did anyone pick 3 songs and use the same song for the signing and walking back down the aisle?
Thank you!

I was married in May of this year. I am also contemplating what I am going to do with all of our photos. I am wanting to make a couple of photo books online @ photobook canada. I've also been thinking of maybe putting our photo's on a canvas. Would love to see what other brides are doing with all their fav photo's

We used sand for a treasure box that our guests put their completed mad lib guest book sheets in. Jazmin suggested we use the sand from the beach vs. purchasing it.. We didn't take this sand home with us so I'm not sure if it would be different for favours.

Did any guests comment or did they just have fun dancing by the pool and jumping in at the end of the night?
Is the Tulum poolside reception close enough to the beach where people could dance in the sand if they wanted to?
Our poolside reception is scheduled from 9-11, did brides with the same time frame feel like that was enough time for dancing?
Thanks!
We had the same amount of time at our reception and it was over way tooo fast! We had asked Jazmin if we could extend it later and were told the latest was 11. It was fun but it was hard to get everything in. We didn't have time at dinner to do the cake cutting so we did it at the reception, first dances & bouquet and garter toss left little time for dancing.
If you can have it start earlier I would suggest you do that or see if you have any luck extending your reception past 11.

I bought a bag of seashells from Michaels and brought them with me. We didn't have any problems getting them there, but I was unable to find any definitive answers either.
-
We asked our WC if we could have the poolside reception later and were told no, the latest they could do was 11. We did our cake cutting at the reception and had to do it ourselves.

We booked in August of 2011 and found out in October. We were fortunate because it only affected our Calgary flights. We surrended all of reserved Calgary flights and routed everyone through edmonton. It sucked because we had to give up Calgary seats and our Edmononton flights was completely booked, all we had were our reserved seats. We had to move our wedding date from May 11 to May 10th, luckily our resort was accommodating with the date change. Air Transat didn't make any further changes to our schedule after this, so hopefully you're in the clear.
I hope everything works out for you, I know how stressfull it can be!

I would suggest if you have a 2013 wedding and are booked through Transat that you contact your TA to check to see if this impacts your schedules at all.
For me - we had booked with the impression that everyone was leaving Saturday April 6, to Saturday April 13. This included people going from Ottawa (36ppl), Calgary (7ppl) and Edmonton (4ppl). Well...the "new" schedule came out, and they moved Edmonton's flights to the 5-12, and Calgary's to the 3-10. The wedding is on the 11th, so this means the Calgary schedule misses it alltogether, and the Edmonton one means people have to travel the day after the wedding............so I'm waiting to talk to my TA today to figure out this mess and see what we can do. Changing the wedding date doesn't seem to be much of an option, since the hotel is pretty booked up and I've already ordered things with the date.
Don't want to alarm anyone, but want to make sure you find this out ASAP if it also impacts your wedding - since my TA and I only found out because we specifically asked for the flight schedules as I had come across some posted on expedia.
We ran into this with our air transat flights for our May wedding. Very frustrating!! Hopefully you are able to get everything figured out without changing your date!

We put the cash down at our meeting with Jazmin. I think it was around 500-600 it was half of what we paid for our wedding in total. This included flowers, any resort supplied decorations, resort DJ, cake, bar option for poolside reception, additional sparkling wine for after the ceremony, and any other charges from the resort relating to our wedding. We went with the Sunshine Package for $975 which at the time of our booking included minister fees.
-
Jazmin included the DJ fees in our grand total and we had to pay for half of that in cash as the deposit.

I ran into something similar a couple days before we left. There was no mention of me requiring my birth certificate and two days before we left i was told that I needed to have my birth certificate translated for them. When we arrived at the resort Jazmin told me that because my last name was different than my fathers I needed to have it translated.
I would just reply to her and ask why this information is requried.
Hope this info helps!
