@chinadoll, I brought my photographer from home (www.rebekahjmurray.com) because she'd done our engagement photos and I just loved her. All of my guests stayed at the Iberostary, most at the Rose Hall Beach, with a couple at the Grand. A few people booked too late and had to stay at the Hilton or the Ritz Carlton, also in Rose Hall. I heard no complaints about any of the hotels, and we had a wonderful time at the Rose Hall Beach. The resort was lovely, the food was the best I've had at an all-inclusive (and we take our food seriously!) and the spa did a fantastic job on my wedding hair. The front desk staff was a little rude/unhelpful/apathetic, but the rest of the staff was delightful. My photographer hasn't blogged my photos yet, but as soon as she does, I'll share the link with everyone. Rest assured that the venue is GORGEOUS and they'll definitely take your interests/design vision and turn it into something beautiful!

Hello all! I had my wedding at Hummingbird Hall on 4/21, and it was amazing. The hall is gorgeous (and it exists! so don't worry if you don't see it before your wedding day - you are wiring money to a real, live place!). Alisha is just lovely - she's warm and friendly and all of my guests and photographer adored her. We had about 50 people, and everyone had a great time - it was definitely hot, but that's to be expected. I honestly have no complaints - the steel band was great (the DJ was fair, but everyone still danced so it was fine), the food was delicious, our tiny cake was phenomenal. I've posted a review on WeddingWire that's a bit longer (here, look for the 4/21 wedding date), but please ask any questions that you might have at all - I know it's nice to be able to ask someone who was about all of your worries, so ask away! I wish I could go back and do it all again.

I'm jealous that you have 15 people already and your wedding is after mine! I have 11, I think, including me and the fella. I get worried that since we sent the Save the Date in July, there's no other official reminder going to our guests until we send out invites, which I wasn't planning on doing for a while. Are you guys planning on sending invites very early, or just reminding people a lot that they need to book? I don't want to bug them, but I'm also incredibly Type A and just want to doitallforthemHURRYUPPLEASE. I've been corresponding a lot with Alisha and love the way things are going. I can't wait to see my wedding. Too bad the only time I'll see anything is on the day I get married there, eep!

I know, I wish I'd thought of the three color addition! We're also doing the Iberostars, but I hear you re: starting a honeymoon that's a little more private. I think that my fiance and I are actually going to move locations after a few day to a different place all together. We'll stay at the Beach from like Weds to Mon, and then move to maybe the Caves or Rockhouse from Mon-Thurs or Fri. I do feel a little bad, as I have family coming from all over (West Coast, East Coast and Europe), and feels as though I should be spending tons of time with them--but, if I was having a non-destination wedding, I'd only see them day-of! Our wedsite from HH just went live and people love it. I'm so excited and wish it was closer! I'm so unstressed; HH takes care of everything, so now I'm just stressing out about the fact that I have nothing to do/stress about.

Thanks! I'm so excited. HH finally confirmed our deposit last week (it took over a week for them to confirm our wire transfer), and so we're definitely on for 4/21/12! We're really interested in the sky lanterns that HH has to offer--there was some talk about them comping those for us if they use our photos, etc., in materials but I don't know if that can be figured out right now. Currently, they're working on our Wedsite and I'm busy obsessing over the wedding design form that Alisha sent once we were confirm. Where is everyone planning on staying? We're getting group rates at the Iberostar. I'm so excited to not be having an all-inclusive wedding. I really feel like this FITS!

Hi there! I'm brand new to this forum and am in the midst of planning an April 2012 wedding at Hummingbird Hall! I'm so excited, and even though we're going to spend a little more than we'd originally thought, I couldn't be happier that we're going to get an intimate wedding location. Question regarding what I've seen a few people post: what items are going aiming to change in your contract? We just got the first draft of ours today, and I only found one thing I wanted to change (which was the ceremony time that I'd entered!). I feel nervous that maybe I'm missing some hidden catch or failing to negotiate something correctly! Thanks so much!
