welcome to the forum.....id be more than happy to help you out, i know when i started out my head was spinning, but with less than 5 months to go ..were so happy with everything. id be more than happy to lend you my advice or vendorsOriginally Posted by HarlequinBAM
I'm brand spankin' new this site, but oh so glad I've stumbled across it. I've been engaged for a few months now and we've only just recently decided that we want to get married in Jamaica! I am SO worried though because planning a wedding in a place based purely on photos and reviews seems agonizing...also my absolute main concern is on fabulous photography which, from what I've heard thus far, typically leaves a lot to be desired from resort based photographers. Regardless, I'm excited I've found this site to help me out!

I saw packs of peacock-printed tissues for $1...they had these beautiful peacock feather round trivets(?)...in the placemat section...one of those in the middle of the table with a glass vase & flowers would be stunning. They had beautiful fabric drapery panels embroidered with peacock feathers that you could take some wicked photos with I'm sure. Just stickin' it out there!

Hey Shelly - Have you ever used crest white strips? I have used them a few times, they only take 2 weeks to do and honestly I notice a HUGE difference. I plan to do this before my wedding, and they only cost about $45 compared to the $200-300 it can cost for your dentist to do!

yeah it was 1000.00 for both my rings, and 500.00 for my FI I got a great deal on them they were originally 2000.00 but i know that peoples has their xmas deals on right now..so i would def go. AND PS there prices after xmas are higher for whatever reason loland yeah white gold should be less...my rings are canadian diamonds too which is more exspensive (but so worth it) lol

Oh and I'm looking for white gold not platinum, so that will save me some.

lol i just looked inside the ring and it has stamped in it PLAT and something else i cant see lol

They were only $50! I actually live in Regina (small world) and they do have them here I'm a size 10, and they didn't have my size in this colour so they ordered them for me. Quote:sorry for the butt in lol but this is what were doing, i too have steel cups. and i feel your pain with the sticker thing lol...what i did was make tags to go on the cups with a nice saying on it, then i tied it to the cup with decorative string and a star fish charm in silver too...ill take pics once they are done, hopw this helps youOriginally Posted by amjohnson
Avens,
Love your cups! I think I would have done the same if I hadn't bought mine already. I need your advice. Mine are aluminum (insulated) coffee cups from Canadian Tire in my colors, red and turquoise. I tried to stick a round label with our logo on a cup but it wouldn't go on the cup straight. So I was thinking of leaving them plain, but now I am having second thoughts. My girlfriend said that this way people are more likely to use it again. Thoughts? I was going to put their name on each cup using a labeller. Your thoughts are appreciated:)

so i too have a platnum e-ring...what i did was went to peoples and got 2 wedding bands one for top, and one for bottom...both of mine cost 1000.00 (with canadian diamonds in it) them we got the FI wedding band with was custom for 500.00 i will post pics of them for you....but i would def stay with the same metal, as i know my e-ring has changed color already, just remember you can always get whats called (rottium platted) which gives your ring that new look again. i am doing this before the wedding to my e-ring its amazing how it comes out looking new again.

Allie2012: I've tried contacting SellOffVacations, Escapes and RedTag and the price per person they quote me with a group rate is the same as online without a group rate. What on earth!! I mean I know we aren't the biggest group (20-30ppl) but still... I'm getting pretty frustrated. Any suggestions for travel agents (Toronto or area) or comments as to what I'm doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.
