Let me just start by saying that Hummingbird Hall is simply amazing:) I just returned from Montego Bay and I am still on cloud nine from the whole experience. I will post the pictures as soon as I can but I want to give you a review that i hope will help you feel calm if you are nervous, make you feel excited if you are stressed and last but not least if you are still trying to decide on a wedding location in Jamaica (Hummingbird is hands down the place to be)... First the location: We stayed at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites and our drive to Hummingbird was about 7 mins... Transportation: I was so stressed before I left about transportation and let me tell you the transporatation is wonderful... Please make sure you have Hummingbird make your transportation arrangements.. I was truly stressed for no reason Makeup: Rashel from Kingston is Wonderful...She is a beautiful person on the inside and out and she will make you feel like a princess on your special day:) Photography: Roan Photography did an amazing job. I truly loved Roans personality and his pictures came out like a magazine article. He is very professional and makes you feel so comfortable... Videography: The husband and wife team that Hummingbird can arrange are amazing.. They are the sweetest young couple and the VIDEO is like a movie from Hollywood... Hummingbird: The Mansion sits in a gated community surrounded by estate homes and the view is spectacular. The staff at Hummingbird is like family and they go above and beyound every minute that you are there.. From the front steps to the back lawn this place looks like an episode of MTV Cribs. It is a picture out of Style magazine and the guest house is WOW... Decor: First of all Alisha is an Angel... You can feel how authentic her spirit is and how much she loves her job... She is not only an amazing Planner and Designer she is just a GREAT person. SHe took my small thoughts and turned them into a page from a storybook wedding.. From my table centerrpieces to my ceremony design it was more than i could have imagined.. Flowers: Alisha picked out fabulous flowers for us... My bouquet was huge and the roses, lillies and other flowers were the biggest i have ever seen... It makes me wonder if the flowers in the US are fresh:) lol Cake: OMG... The cake was not only stunning it was good.... We had red velvet and Yellow.... We had cake everyday of our vacation... Food: The food was good... Now we enjoyed the pork and chicken dishes the most.... We also had fish and if I had to pick again i would have selected another chicken dish over the fish....but overall it was still yummy *** Just a thought:) Everyday of our vacation at Iberostar Suites we saw a wedding. Either on the beach our under the grand stair case and let me tell you that I kind of felt a little sad for the brides because their was no privacy and the set up was nothing compared to Hummingbird)**** I am already planning what we will do next at Hummingbird... My renewal was more than i could have imagined and my guest all thought that we were treated like celebrities... Thank you so much ALisha, Rosa and staff at Hummingbird... My day was perfect and I mean Perfect... Even the sprinkles of rain were perfect... I look forward to seeing you all for our 10 year renewal and perhaps we can plan a family gathering there next year.. (just because) hope this helps ladies... with your final planning...

Hi ladies...well I am leaving tomorrow for MBJ..I am all set with the vendors.. Make up and photography all confirmed.. Alisha at hummingbird took care of my transportation concern....I think what happens is we are used to getting a quick response in our day to day lives so delays from vendors cause us panic that leads to frustration. I am now feeling much better and I know that we will all have a great time....I will take lots of pictures and will give many many details when I return....happy planning to all and have a blessed memorial day weekend....

Well my excitement just turned to frustration..our renewal is on Sunday so I was confirming with hummingbird our pick up times and now all of a sudden I am being told we all would get transported together..WHAT...why would I want to arrive with my guests? When would I have time to get makeup done etc.....it's amazing how things change once you pay in full....what happened to that my pleasure to help you.....I am Now looking at getting transportation for myself to arrive and then I can get transported back to iberostar with my guests...i am a little nervous about all of this....also I booked makeup with Raschel and I am still waiting on a reply....it's very frustrating to get no response from vendors.....l also booked RoanPhotography since hummingbird no longer has a photographer...I am so rethinking this renewal outside of iberostar suites.. I hope i made the right choice....should I be nervous riding in a cab by myself in Jamaica. Uggggggggggggggggg

Thank you....i have been so busy...I have my final dress fitting tomorrow...hoping it goes well...I booked Roan photography and Raschel for make up.....I will post a review and photos as soon as we return...we leave here on this Friday..omg....congrats and good luck planning to each of you....

Hello ladies... I ordered great favors from vista print.. they have great coupons and discounts.. I customized T-SHirts for each guest.. we only have 12 people going so it was very reasonable.. I paid 4.99 per shirt... not a bad price.. I will post lots of pictures.. We were married in St.Thomas 5 years ago and I will tell you Hummingbird Hall is such a small fraction of the cost we paid.. I think i am going to book the makeup today... We are finalizing the details.. like the flowers and cake... I will keep everyone posted:) praying for good weather and sunshibne.. Congrats to you all planning weddings... that was such an exciting time for me.. but even after 5 years of marriage and two kids later the renewal is just as fun with out all the pressure:)

Hello ladies... I will be using Hummingbird Hall in just 3 short weeks for a vow renewal. I am very excited. We have been workinng with Alisha on fonalizing the decor and flowers... We will have a small group going.. we are all staying at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites. Our renewal is on May 29th, 2011... The only item left for me is Bridal Make-up (and the prices in MBJ) are extreme... I have had makeup done at tons of places and MBJ is double the cost... My make up in St.Thomas at the Ritz Carlton for our Wedding day 5 years ago was a third of the cost... Even in Texas where we live now professional AIrbrush make-up is half the cost.. other than that small detail i am very excited... I will post pictures as soon as we return:) 22 days and counting
