Hi April brides Have any of you been told you cannot bring in your own photographer and if you do there is a $200 per photographer penalty? Before booking I was told it wasn't a problem but now that they have our deposits this has all changed. Its also odd how they don't sign their name on my emails so I have no idea who my wc is... anyone else having the same issues? Kelly

I just got an email from the wc for party on the beach. There are 3 options : Open Bar Premium $38 per person; International Open Bar $32 per person; and Domestic Open Bar $25 pp. Otherwise, a hall can be rented for $200. On top of that you still need to rent audio equipment. If you want the details on the breakdown of the selection pm me your email address.

Where are the options for a dance? I only have about 20 people so we don't need a lot of space etc. I wonder if there is a cheap place you can rent ipod equipment that the wc will not have an issue with that doesn't cost as much as the resort charges.

Hi gals! I'm so excited, they finally confirmed our date; May 21, 2012, anyone else on the same day here? Can anyone e-mail me the flower selection, and information on where the area for a dance is held? I tried asking the WC but we all know how that goes... might take months to get a reply :S Their website doesn't really give you much information, but reading all the great reviews from this site helps me know its all going to be ok.

omg! Why?

I have been waiting for over a month for their reply and I had sent them at least 5 emails begging for a response. My travel agent finally got a hold of them on Thursday (by telephone) to find out the time we were planning to go out there was already booked up and we couldn't get a wedding date. Not impressed. We get one more shot at a date before I switch resorts.

Hi Janette, Being that you were at Grand Sunset Princess, do you know is the Grant Princess the same resort? I still have my fingers crossed for Grand Sirenis, but its good to have a plan B.

Any one have a Travel Agent they can recommend? I am so disappointed in mine and time is running out for a may wedding.

I only have the pricing from the wedding Co-ordinator and stuff provided by other people on this site. I can e-mail it to you if you want to pm me your e-mail address. I haven't booked our date or put down deposits yet as i'm getting screwed by our travel agent. She has increased the prices per person by $300! Blowing my guest's budgets out of the water. So now I have to start all over, might have to change resorts. Hoping a different ta can get me my original quoted price. Something you should check into is they just issued the new pricing for 2012 which is a lot higher then last year, see if they will honor last years pricing. Thats what i'm going to do if I stick with this resort, but might be changing to Grand Sunset Princess.

Hi Ladies and congrats to all!! I'm looking at the packages on the sunset princess site and i'm confused if the "Special dinner for the couple and 38 guests in an a la carte Restaurant" is used as the reception etc or not. I noticed some previous comments of being charged between 70-100 per person for the reception. Can anyone help clarify? Thanks

Any other information that you have obtained on this resort and wedding packages I would greatly appreciate you passing on to me I received a great quote for the resort side of things but have not heard back from the hotel yet for the wedding package pricing. Kileelain, when is your big day? Would be awesome to keep in touch with you and maybe exchange notes etc?

I see I'm not alone here with trying to pick a hotel for our wedding. As some of you may have gone to check out the places, Can any one give me the pros and cons to any of the hotels in Ixtapa? We are looking to get married on the beach May 5, 2012 but will not be able to visit the resort before hand so it will be a surprise to us. We are under a tight budget and so are our guests. Any advise would be great.
