  1. Hi Amita, You can count on it being warm, so choose your dress accordingly. As for rain, it is impossible to predict, but it tends to be a moderately rainy month. Make sure you resort or hotel has a backup plan in case of rain. We photographed a May wedding in Tulum that endured torrential downpours and the hotel was NOT prepared. At least they opened the bar (wide-open) for the guests. Good luck, Michael
  2. We are sorry to hear that you had problems with a Mexico photographer. How nice of Ivan Luckie to try and help you. I think his attitude and professionalism is more common among photographers on the Riviera Maya than that of Mr. Sanchez. We always ship nicely packaged DVDs to our brides, regardless of where they live. You should not accept your images being delivered to you electronically. Hopefully, the brides reading this thread will ask questions about the timing and the method of delivery of the photographs from their wedding and TTD sessions. We recommend Skype calls to all of our couples, which allows them to become acquainted with us. Michael
  3. Hi Jess, We are not the resort photographers. But, we loved shooting a wedding there and doing a TTD session the next day at our favorite cenote. Here is a link to the photos. Good luck with your planning. http://www.mandjphoto.com/2012/01/nada-aleem-azul-sensatori/ All the best, Michael
  4. Hi Nicole, Congratulations on your approaching wedding. We love the chocolate shops in Playa called Ah Cacao. Perhaps they could do something special, but I don't think strawberries are that easy to come by. Also, there are lots of shops along 5th Av in Playa where you can buy maracas, shot glasses or miniatures of tequila for guests. Good luck, Michael
  5. Congrats Kelly, We strongly suggest you research the professional photographers, find one that fits your style and your personality. The resort photographers really don't have the experience or the commitment to document your special day. Good luck with your planning! Jennifer
  6. Hi Melissa, Congrats on your engagement (especially on Cozumel, where we live). You might consider having the Catholic wedding in the U.S. and a symbolic beach wedding in Mexico. That might simplify things for you. Good luck, Michael
  7. Hi Melissa, We would be happy to help you document your celebration. We recently relocated to the area and just joined the forum yesterday. Besides weddings my wife and I shoot for National Geographic Image Collection. I tend to have a photojounalistic style and my wife more of an elegant portrait style. Please feel free to take a look at our website www.mandjphoto.com . You can also contact us to get an email for a Denver bride whose wedding I shot in Tulum.
