Hi!!!! We ran into the same issues with airfare. We are now 96 days away from the wedding and prices have dropped drastically. We looked through airline websites and travel websites like orbitz to see the prices. We did not book flights with our TA, because we did find cheaper, and we advised our guests to look into that. A couple weeks back I had put up a post about my room contract that was MIA and what not....you ladies were so helpful!! Not only did I put my foot down, but I spoke up (okay maybe had my first mini bridezilla moment) and finally got the contract!! Not only that, but since there were some issues and mis communications with my Travel agent and the group provider, we got some perks for our wedding!! We are receiving a free cocktail hour and I am getting the bridal spa package courtesey of Karisma. Future brides and brides-to-be planning, don't ever feel like you cannot speak up if you are unhappy about something. Although some of the planning can be stressful, it is your day (and your future hubby too!) and make sure it is perfect!!!!

Not going to lie, it is amazing!! We did the Rehearsal visit too!! They will make you go one day that you are there for a presentation. They give you sample cocktail menus, drinks, show you the fabrics they carry, and more. You also try the appetizers, main courses, and some of the cake choices. They have a make up artist on hand too, and if you are lucky (Like me!) she may select you tohave your make up done for free!!! It was very informative and very worth it!! Enjoy!!!!

It is about 20 minutes to the resort. They do have taxis and also shuttles. The shuttles go to certain spots and only drop off or pick up at certain times (ex: if you want to go into Cancun to a market place, they will send you out at a time and pick you up like 4 hours later). The taxis, from what I heard are a bit pricey, didn't use any while down there. The other option is renting a car too.

Thanks again!! We finally got al the details, thank God!!! We blocked off 20 rooms just in case there are some guests who were still up in there, and luckily b/c it is so far in advanced, as long as we cancel them if they aren't needed by March then we do not get charged for the rooms and deposit is refunded. I just hope our TA is on the ball with payments, we used her already for going to the Bridal Dress Rehearsal at AS and had no issues with payments, so hopefully she stays on top of it. I'm just glad that this is the only stressful part, and hopefully wil be the only stressfull part. Good Luck in the rest of your planning!!

Thanks!!! Our TA wasn't so clear om the beginning and we are still trying to figure out the contract. But she finally told us if we want to put a deposit to hold the rooms then they pretty have until March to decide (our wedding is July). It just didn't seem right to make our guests decide in 10 days when we haven't even sent out invites yet, only save the dates. Thanks again!!

Murmel thanks sooo much!!!!! We have a TA but the way she explained it had us thinking our guests only had the 10 days...phew! Thanks again for putting me at ease!

LADIES I NEED YOUR HELP!!! Anyone who has already had a wedding or booked a wedding and received your room contract, was it a huge hassle with ur GI consultant and Karisma to get a contract... and also, did they tell you all of your guests have to put a deposit down within 10 days of receiving your contract otherwise their rates would change?? If I would have known about all this bs, on top of the ridiculous vendor fees, I may have thought twice about having a wedding there. It is such a shame because it is truely beautiful place. Any feedback would be great!!!!

My fiance and I are doing a sky wedding and booked it for that reason, because it will be private. They do include with it (not like they are worth that much) cold hand towels, water bottles, prgrams, and fans for your guests. We did our bridal rehersal visit back in June, and did peek in on some beach weddings...the resort tries their best to keep any random non-wedding guests out of the area. People will look down from above though. Good luck with your planning!!!

HI Ladies!! For those of you who are getting married on the SKY deck....do they allow colored sheers up there??? One of the package things my WC sent said they do not do colored sheers up there, but I have seen plenty of wedding pics (on here too) with them. Thanks ladies!!!
