  1. Lauren, We are sooo close to committing to Merriman's and using one of their tents. Any photos?
  2. Thanks! Great ideas! We were thinking of donating to the Arbor Day Foundation which each tree is $1 and finding a cute card to type that up on.
  3. Hi Maui brides! We are looking at a casual-ish wedding and reception. I wanted also to make sure that we had a chance to do our first dance and father daughter dance. I have been having trouble finding many options of where we could do that near Lahaina. If there is a great spot, we would think about another town area but are currently planning on Ka'anapali/Lahaina. Ideally, we would be able to do a restaurant and have our iPod plugged in while using a our private room. But, I haven't been able to find that anywhere. I can see that you can rent rooms at resorts but we are having such a small group (12-17) that some of those seem a bit much. We aren't doing a reception home after so I wanted to make sure we get to go those. I did see the Planatation House but was just seeing if anyone else had any recommendations while keeping our total cost down! Thank you thank you thank you!!
  4. Sorry for the cross-posting!! We are planning a DW for June 2012. We are trying to find a resort area that also has some more affordable hotels around it. Some of our guests would find the trip feasible if we had other options than just an expensive resort. We do not have a specific island in mind--I have been to Maui, Oahu and Kauai and love them all but really also want to make it to the Big Island. My one problem with the Kona area of the Big Island (which I thought was perfect) is that the resorts aren't beachfront--which I would like for us staying at the resort (am I missing any??) My dream location might be too specific but I figured I would ask you experts! Thank you for any advice!
