Hi! I just booked my wedding for July 22nd. After so much trouble with travel agents and them telling me there were no group discounts, I went directly to the resort. Their wedding sales department was very helpful. She confirmed my date and also signed me up for a group contract which allows you to estimate the number of rooms to reserve for your guests. Also, if you do not fill all the rooms/room nights, they release them 60 days prior to your date without any penalty. It's a great concept. And, not only will I be able to take advantage of the perks (free cocktail hour, private event based on how many rooms are booked) but she also locked in my hotel rates which were about $100 less per day than what any travel agent gave me - I am finally breathing easily! Once you sign the contract and put down a deposit (you and your fiance's full hotel stay as a good faith deposit for the group) they will create a link for you that you can send to your guests to book through. From there, they can book just their hotel stay or hotel and flight. Makes sense to me! We are SO excited
