KRama: How is it that price (1000) for a private dinner on the beach??? I definitely would consider that option but the buffet prices (outdoor private dinner) are way more $$$?

We are getting married November 19 at Akumal with outdoor ceremony, dinner, cocktails and dancing with DJ Bijan...The buffet options are all $$$ for this private outdoor event a lot more than i guess Tulum's WC offered to Wesjor????

Wesjor: You were quoted $1000 for your private cocktail reception at what level of alcohol/open bar??? I am getting married at Akumal in November and was quoted like the other women were quoted ($24/per person for first hour) for best level... Also, is anyone having their dinner at the private location (outdoors) as well (vs in one of the restaurants)??? Thanks, Dara

Yes it is definitely easier to get legally married prior to the Mexico wedding! Where are you getting married??? We are getting married in Akumal- where is your poolside reception and are you having food or just cocktails? We hired DJ Bijan, but I'm not sure where the dance floor is supposed to be....

We are getting legally married in the US before heading down to Mexico! And then we will be having a symbolic wedding ceremony on the beach, where all of our guests can see us get "married."

Hi, We are getting married at the Hammock Site...and I am still working on figuring out the rest of the details. Depending on how many people actually RSVP, we are deciding between the dinner that comes with the package vs. private outdoor dinner and reception. I did book DJ Bijan for the reception. I am trying to decide what kind of music we want for the ceremony. I am interested in the mariachi band for the cocktail hour too...

Hi Everyone! Trying to plan the reception dinner- Who has had their reception dinner at Frutos Del Mar??? Who has had their reception dinner at Dolce Vita??? Anyone currently planning on having their dinner at one of these restaurants and can offer me any info???? Thoughts??? Is it Good, not-so-good, OK??? How about a "rehearsal dinner"? Has anyone had or is planning to have a dinner the night before their wedding? If so, how much did they charge? Any suggestions re: restaurants? Thanks!
